Lady of Fifty - Jerry Hollendorfer filly has six wins and three third place finishes in 12 career starts and is coming off a disappointing fourth as favorite last time out in the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes January 20 after a relatively easy win in the competitive Grade 2 Bayakoa at Hollywood Park December 8 and a win in the minor Palm Springs Handicap at Santa Anita November 1. She has apparently looked good in workouts will be looking for a bounce back effort in the Santa Maria for sure!
Snow Fall - Jerry Hollendorfer pupil is coming off a nice win in the Pasadena Handicap by 3 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita January 13 to follow a good second in the Kalookan Queen Stakes in December. She has four wins, two seconds and a third place finish in 13 career starts. Her last graded stakes effort was a sixth - three back in the Grade 1 First Lady Stakes.
Book Review - Bob Baffert trained filly had a very impressive win in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes over Reneesgotzip and the dominant My Miss Aurelia on December 26 after a disappointing fifth three back in the Grade 1 Gazelle. She had wins in the minor Imperial Gesture Stakes at Belmont Park October 24, the Charles Town Oaks in September and an Allowance at Saratoga in July as well. Last time out was a good second in the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita January 20.

Great Hot - Brazilian bred Great Hot had 11 starts in 2012 with three seconds - the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes back in January 2012 being the best result, and a pair of thirds in minor stakes action. She was a distant ninth three back in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint and followed that with a third in the Kalookan Queen Stakes and a fourth last time out in the Pasadena Handicap at Santa Anita January 13. Gary Stevens will get the mount for the long shot Great Hot and hopes are that the veteran jockey can maintain a hot streak that saw him win two stakes races last weekend.
Private Affair - Peruvian bred Private Affair endured over a year off and returned with a win in an Allowance here November 22. He followed that with an ugly tenth last time out in the Grade 2 Hollywood Turf Cup December 15 at Hollywood Park. She has four wins and five seconds in 12 career starts.
Going for a Spin - has won two of her last three starts for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer - the Starter Stakes last time out at Santa Anita January 20 and the Cat's Cradle Handicap three back at Hollywood Park. Sandwiched in there is a disappointing fifth in the Kalookan Queen Handicap at Santa Anita December 29. She enters as the most experienced of the entries with 28 starts, seven wins, seven seconds and six third place finishes.
