Las Vegas, NV - Belmont Park in Elmont, New York will be the scene of the Grade 3 Turnback The Alarm Handicap this Sunday, October 26. Fillies and mares three years old and upward will be after the winner's share of the $200,000 purse when they go 1 1/16 miles on Belmont Park's dirt track.
A field of eight older females will take to the track in the Turnback the Alarm Handicap - race 9 on Belmont Park's Sunday schedule. Post time is 4:58 PM. Here is a look into the past performances of all eight entries for this Grade 3 stakes.
Teen Pauline - Todd Pletcher trained filly has just three starts this year - all wins. The last time we saw her was in March - a victory in the Grade 2 Top Flight Handicap which followed a win in the minor Ladies Handicap by 10 3/4 lengths January 25 and a win in the minor Affectionately Stakes by 4 3/4 lengths January 1. In 2013 she had a win, a second and two third place finishes in six starts culminating in a good third in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes November 30. Teen Pauline has 11 career starts with five wins, a second and three third place finishes and despite being out of racing since March has to be in the conversation. She departs from post 5 with Irad Ortiz aboard.
Dame Dorothy - will race for just the fourth time for trainer Todd Pletcher looking to remain perfect in her career. She debuted with a maiden score at Aqueduct November 30 and went on to an Allowance Optional Claiming score by 12 lengths and a nice win in her stakes debut - by four lengths the minor Malvern Rose Stakes at Presque Isle Downs last time out August 10. She makes her much anticipated graded stakes debut Sunday with Javier Castellano in the saddle from post 2.
Endless Chatter - Chad Brown trained filly has 10 career starts with four wins, three second and two third place finishes - four wins, two seconds and two thirds in her last eight starts. She made her graded stakes debut last time out and finished a good third in the Grade 1 Beldame on this track September 27 which followed a win in her stakes debut - the minor Summer Colony Stakes at Saratoga in August. Endless Chatter has won three of her last four starts and should be in the mix Sunday. Joel Rosario gets the call from post 6.
Catch My Drift - Chad Brown trained filly has just four career starts with three wins - an Allowance Optional Claiming at Parx last time out September 20, another Allowance Optional Claiming at Monmouth Park July 19 and a maiden score at first asking in June. In between there was her stakes debut which resulted in a seventh place finish in the Grade 1 Alabama Stakes at Saratoga August 16. Catch My Drift hopes for a better effort in stakes company with the legendary John Velazquez in the irons from the outside post.

Tapit's World - Michelle Nevin trained filly has 11 career starts with three wins, four seconds and a third place finish. She is coming off a very good second in the Grade 3 Gardenia Stakes at Ellis Park August 9 which followed a career worst effort - a twelfth in the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial at Delaware Park July 5. This after a sixth in the Grade 3 Early Mint Julep Handicap June 7 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score in March. She will be hoping to build on a good effort last time out after a couple of unflattering results and will have Jose Ortiz in the saddle from the rail.
Moment in Dixie - James Toner trained mare has 17 career starts with three wins, five seconds and two third place finishes. Her graded stakes debut wasn't great - a ninth in the Grade 1 Ballerina at Saratoga in August. She had a second in the Jazzy Stakes at Belmont Park in September and a third in the Trevita Stakes at Aqueduct in November and finished a very good second in the Grade 3 Doubledogdare Stakes at Keeneland April 18 - her best result in quite some time. Moment in Dixie enters off an ugly eleventh in the minor Lady Baltimore Stakes at Laurel Park September 27 which followed a third in the minor West Virginia Senate President's Stakes August 2 and a fifth in the Grade 3 Arlington Matron Stakes in May. She looks for her first ever graded stakes win and her first win of any sort since July, 2013 when she lines up in gate 3 with Jose Lezcano aboard.
Flores Island - Martin Wolfson trained filly made her graded stakes debut March 1 and finished fifth in the Grade 2 Top Flight Handicap at Aqueduct and has only one start since - a second in the minor Musical Romance Stakes at Gulfstream September 22. Before the Top Flight she placed in nine of 10 career starts - three wins, four seconds and two third place finishes including a three race win streak - two Allowance Optional Claiming and a MSW at Belmont Park in October. She will be looking for her first stakes score in just her fourth start this year. Junior Alvarado rides from gate 4.
Toasting - Thomas Albertini trained filly has certainly been up and down lately. She is coming off a sixth in the Grade 1 Beldame Stakes here September 27 after a win in the minor Sky Beauty Stakes also on this track September 7 and a good second in the Grade 3 Seaway Stakes at Woodbine in August. Before that was a pair of fifths - in the Grade 2 Ruffian Stakes at Belmont Park May 11 and the Grade 3 Ontario Matron Stakes in July. She ended last year with a good second in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes at Aqueduct in November and a nice win in the minor Dream Rush Stakes at Belmont Park in October. Toasting has placed in just two of her last six starts and enters in typically inconsistent form. Dylan Davis has the mount from post 7.
Race 9 on Belmont Park's Sunday card with a Post Time of 4:58 PM.
