Las Vegas, NV - Del Mar Race Track in the great state of California will be the scene of the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks on Saturday, August 16. Three year old fillies will be featured as they chase the winner's share of the $300,000 for 1 1/8 miles on Del Mar's turf track.

The Del Mar Oak has attracted a strong field of 10 to go in race 8 on Del Mar's Saturday card. Post time is 5:30 PM. Here is a glance into the credentials of all 10 entries for this Grade 1 stakes.

2014 Del Mar Oaks Race Favorite Entries

Istanford - was a bit up and down to start her career and has been up and down since - a terrific win at 10-1 odds last time out in the Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes here July 19 followed an unflattering seventh in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes June 14, a nice wire-to-wire win - over males in the Grade 3 Arlington Classic in May, a second in the minor Edgewood Stakes three weeks earlier, an ugly eleventh in the Grade 1 Ashland Stakes and a good second in the Grade 3 Florida Oaks in March. She has won two of her last three starts overall with an ugly effort sandwiched in there and will try to win consecutive races for the first time in her career. New jockey Martin Garcia gets the call from post 3. Distance could be an issue so Istanford is cross-entered in the Sandy Blue Handicap Friday

Sea Queen - improving Christophe Clement trained filly has looked very good as of late - last time out was a good second in the $1 million Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational - her graded stakes debut July 5 after a win in the minor Wonder Again Stakes at 18-1 odds on this track May 25 and an Allowance score at Keeneland in April. She has three wins and two seconds in six career starts and has win two of her last three with a second in there too. Rafael Bejarano rides from the unfavorable outside post in Sea Queen's second start in California.

Del Mar Oaks 2014 | Remaining Contenders

My Conquestadory - Mark Casse trained filly was scratched out of the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational July 5 but raced to a third behind Istanford and Tepin in the Grade 2 San Clemente Handicap here July 18 which followed a second by a nose in the Grade 3 Selene Stakes at Woodbine May 18 - her first start of 2014. Before that was an OK fourth in the Breeders' Cup Fillies Turf. Her other two starts produced wins in impressive style - the Grade 2 Summer Stakes against the boys by over three lengths at Woodbine September 14 and the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades as favorite by two lengths. My Conquestadory now has two wins, a second and a third place finish in five career starts and will have Victor Espinoza in the saddle from post 6 looking for her first win of 2014.

Tepin - Mark Casse trained filly finished her 2013 campaign with a very nice win in the Grade 3 Delta Downs Princess Stakes in November but had not looked great in 2014 before a great second last time out behind Istanford in the Grade 2 San Clemente Handicap July 19 at 18-1 odds. Her previous two starts in 2014 resulted in two eighth place finishes - in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs June 14 which followed the minor Miss Preakness Stakes at Pimlico May 16. She has two wins, a second and a third place finish in seven career starts and will be looking to build on a good effort last time out. Tyler Baze rides from post 7.

Diversy Harbor - Tom Proctor trained filly has six career starts with two wins, two seconds and a third place finish. Last time out was her only off-the-board finish - a fourth as favorite in the Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes here July 19 after a good second behind Room Service in the Grade 1 American Oaks May 31 at Santa Anita, a third behind Nashoba's Gold and Sweet Bliss in the Grade 2 Honeymoon Stakes May 4 and a second in the Grade 3 Providencia Stakes April 5. She started her career with two wins including the minor China Doll Stakes at Santa Anita March 8. Diversy Harbor has been competitive ever time out, will be looking for her first graded stakes score and will have the terrific Mike Smith aboard from the inside post.

Odisseia - Irish bred Philip D'Amato trained filly makes her North American debut Saturday after seven starts at home produced two wins and two second place finishes. She is coming off a disappointing ninth in a Handicap Stakes at Ascot June 18 after two wins and two third in her previous three starts. She looks for a bounce back effort in her first start away from home - Joe Talamo will guide Odisseia from gate 8.

Stellaris - has five career starts for trainer Michael Stidham with two wins, two seconds and a third place finish. She is coming off consecutive second place finishes - the Grade 3 Arlington Oaks last time out and the minor Northbound Pride Oaks in June which followed two straight wins - a maiden score at Keeneland in April and an Allowance in May. Stellaris has been good every time out and will have Kent Desormeaux aboard from gate 5.

Famous Alice - will hit the track for the sixth time for trainer Tom Proctor having recorded two wins and three second place finishes. Last time out was a good second in her graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes at Santa Anita June 28 after a fourth in the minor Penn Oaks Stakes in May and an Allowance Optional Claiming in April. She hopes to keep up the consistency Saturday with Drayden Van Dyke aboard from post 2.

Personal Diary -has just one win in nine career starts - a maiden score at first asking and has been OK since - four seconds and two third place finishes. She enters having placed in her last four starts overall - a second last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming here followed a good second in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes June 14 and a third and a second respectively in a pair of Allowance races. Personal Diary looks for just her second career win and first graded stakes score with Corey Nakatani in the irons from post 4.

Maibaby - Irish bred Neil Drysdale trainee will race on North American soil for the first time Saturday off an Allowance score at Chantilly June 20 and consecutive thirds in similar races. She has two wins and two third place finishes in six career starts and has placed in her last three ahead of this weekend. Elvis Trujillo gets the call from post 9.
