Las Vegas, NV - Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky will play host to the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes Stakes on Friday, October 4. Two year old fillies will be featured as they take to Keeneland's new dirt track and go 1 1/16 miles searching for the winner's share of the $400,000 purse and an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Fillies in a month's time.
A large field of 13 juvenile females have been confirmed for the Darley Alcibiades - race 9 on Keeneland's opening day Friday card. Post time is 5:13 PM. Here is a look into the past performances of all 13 combatants for this Grade 1 highlight on opening day at Keeneland.
Fashion Alert - impressive Todd Pletcher trained filly has two career starts and two wins. She won her debut - the Astoria Stakes by 4 3/4 lengths at Belmont Park June 14 and followed that with a terrific win last time out as 1-5 favorite in the Grade 3 Schuylerville Stakes by 1 1/2 lengths at Saratoga July 18. She will try for her second consecutive graded stakes score Friday when she leaves from the rail with John Velazquez in the saddle.
Naval Command - has been very good in her four race career for trainer William Kaplan - three wins and a second place finish. Last time out was a nice victory in the minor Happy Ticket Stakes at Louisiana Downs September 6 which followed an Allowance score at Gulfstream. Her only blemish which was a good second in the minor Cassidy Stakes in July. Jockey Juan Leyva has been trusted to keep the roll going as Naval Command departs from post 6.
Take Charge Brandi - D Wayne Lukas trained filly posted a maiden score at first asking and then went on to a very good second in the Grade 3 Shuylerville Stakes at Saratoga July 18. She has fallen off a tad since although her struggles have come in graded stakes company. Last time out was a fifth in the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs September 6 which followed another fifth in the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga August 10. Luis Saez will be in the saddle from post 12 as Take Charge Brandi looks to snap a mini slump on Friday.
Innovative Idea - Eion Harty trained filly has just one career start and it was a good one - a wire-to-wire 4 1/4 length maiden score at Arlington September 4. James Graham will be in the irons Friday in Innovative Idea's step into stakes company from post 7. She is expected to bring the speed to the race.
Taylor S - will hit the track for just the second time for trainer Dale Romans after a 3 3/4 length maiden score in dominant fashion by four lengths in her debut at Churchill Downs September 14. She takes a huge step up in competition Friday with Corey Lanerie in the reins from post 5.

Calamity Kate - Kelly Breen trained filly makes her stakes debut Friday after finally breaking maiden by a very impressive six lengths in her third career start - at Belmont Park September 11 - after a fourth and a seventh respectively in MSW races at two different tracks. She leaves from post 4 with Paco Lopez guiding her.
Pangborn - Kenneth McPeek trainee broke maiden at first asking July 12 and has just one start since - a good second ahead of Milehigh Butterfly in the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs September 6. Juan Lopez Castanon has been tabbed to ride Pangborn from gate 8 hoping to break through in graded stakes company for the first time.
Milehigh Butterfly - William Connelly pupil is coming off a very respectable third in the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs September 6 which followed a fifth in the minor Prairie Gold Lassie Stakes July 19 and a maiden score at first asking in May. She looks for her first stakes score with Brian Joseph Hernandez aboard from gate 2.
Slava - will race for the sixth time for trainer Gennadi Dorochenko - the first time in graded stakes company. She is coming off a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming September 14 which followed a seventh in her stakes debut - the minor PG Johnson Stakes August 27, a second in an Allowance and a maiden score in her second career race. Paige - has three career starts for trainer Donnie K. Von Hemel with two wins and a third place finish - no stakes races yet. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs September 14 which followed a maiden score at Ellis Park in August and a third in a similar race on that same track in July. Chris Landeros gets the call from post 10 Friday.
Gap Year - Kiaran McLaughlin trained filly finished third in her only career start - a MSW at Saratoga August 22. She looks for her first win Friday with Joel Rosario aboard from an unfavorable outside post.
Peace and War - will make her North American debut Friday after three starts in Britain yielded a win and a second place finish. Last time out was a second in a Novice Weight For Age race August 8 after a sixth in a similar race and a maiden win in her debut in May. Julien Leparoux gets the mount from post 11.
Top Decile - Albert Stall trained filly races for just the second time Friday after a maiden score at first asking - at Saratoga August 17. Rosie Napravnik will be in the irons from post 9.
