Las Vegas, NV - Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida will play host to the Grade 3 Herecomesthebride Stakes on Saturday, February 28. Three year old fillies will be featured when they take to Gulfstream's turf track and go 1 1/16 miles for a purse of $150,000.
A field of nine three year old females will take to the track in the Herecomesthebride Stakes - race 5 on Gulfstream's busy Saturday card. Post time is 2:30 PM. Here is a peek into the past performances of all nine entries for this Grade 3 stakes.
Consumer Credit - Chad Brown trained filly has five career starts with three wins and a second place finish. She enters this week on a three race win streak - the Grade 3 Sweetest Chant Stakes on this track last time out, the minor Wait a While Stakes by a dominant 3 3/4 lengths here November 29 and a maiden score by 2 1/4 lengths in her third career start. She has looked terrific lately and is the one to catch Saturday. Edgard Zayas has the mount on the 123 pound top weight from post 7.
Quality Rocks - Bill Mott trainee started 2-for-2 in her career - the minor Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes September 6 after a 3 1/2 length maiden score at Presque Isle Downs August 13. Last time out she finished a decent second behind Consumer Credit in the Grade 3 Sweetest Chant Stakes January 24 after a tenth on the biggest stage - the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and a good second behind Rainha Da Bateria in the Grade 3 Jessamine Stakes October 8. She has been in there with some top fields and has fared well - two wins and two seconds in five career starts. Javier Castellano gets the mount this time from gate 5.
Devine Aida - Ramon Morales trained filly makes her graded stakes debut Saturday having won three of four career starts and finishing second in the other. She arrives on the heel of a three race win streak - the best coming last time out in her stakes debut- the minor Ginger Brew Stakes on this very track January 3. Devine Aida tries to make it four straight wins Saturday from the rail with Jesus Rios in the saddle.
Temper Mint Patty - will race for the sixth time for trainer Dale Romans having recorded two wins and a second place finish in five starts. She has failed to place in her last two starts however - a fourth last time out in the Grade 3 Old Hat Stakes here followed a fifth in the Grade 3 Delta Downs Princess Stakes November 22. Those results followed a second in the minor Maid of the Mist Stakes at Belmont Park in October and consecutive wins - the best of which was the minor Joseph A. Gimma Stakes at Belmont Park in September. She has been competitive virtually every time out and hopes to be again in her first turf start - with Jose Lezcano in the saddle from post 6.

Sweet Swingin - Dale Romans pupil started her career with two off-the-board finishes but has placed in both starts this year - a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming February 8 followed a maiden score January 10 - both results on this track. She has certainly been trending upward but races in stakes company for the first time Saturday. Corey Lanerie rides from post 2.
Arella Princess - has just two career starts for trainer Roderick Rodriguez - a maiden score at first asking on this track January 7 was followed by a somewhat disappointing fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming here last time out. She steps into stakes company for the first time hoping to shake a poor performance last time out with Joel Rosario in the irons from post 3.
Pine Needles - hits the track for just the second time in her career off a maiden score in her only career start on this track January 1.She will start from post 4 Saturday with Irad Ortiz in the reins looking to make a little noise in stakes company.
Tumminia - has five career starts for trainer Gustavo Delgado with a win and a third place finish but Saturday marks his first step into stakes company. Last time out was a Maiden Claiming score on this track February 7 after a fourth, a twelfth and an eighth place finish. Tumminia hadn't looked good before a win last time out - hopes are that she can build off that result from post 7 with Paco Lopez guiding her.
Maddizaskar - George Weaver trained filly won her debut January 4 but did not look good in her second career start - last time out was an eighth in an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track February 6. Not a whole lot is expected Saturday when she leaves from the outside post with John Velazquez in the irons.
