Las Vegas, NV - The Sunshine Millions Distaff comes our way this Saturday, January 17 from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida as part of the Sunshine Millions Day card. A purse of $150,000 will be on the line for fillies are mares four years old and upward willing to go seven furlongs on Gulfstream's dirt track.

2015 Sunshine Millions Distaff Race Favorite Entries

Toasting - Thomas Albertini trained filly has certainly been up and down lately. She is coming off an OK third in the Grade 3 Turnback the Alarm Stakes at Belmont Park October 26 after a sixth in the Grade 1 Beldame Stakes September 27, a win in the minor Sky Beauty Stakes September 7 and a good second in the Grade 3 Seaway Stakes at Woodbine in August. Before that was a pair of fifths - in the Grade 2 Ruffian Stakes at Belmont Park May 11 and the Grade 3 Ontario Matron Stakes in July. Toasting is the defending third place finisher in this race and has placed in just four of nine starts since - three money finishes in her last four starts however. Javier Castellano gets the call aboard this inconsistent but sometimes superb filly from post 5.

My Pal Chrisy - Martin Wolfson trained mare won the Millions Distaff Preview Stakes November 9, 2013 after wins in the minor Musical Romance Stakes and the Pasadena Stakes - all results at Gulfstream. She went on to a third in the Grade 2 Go For Wand and has placed in every race since - a third in the Ocala Stakes here December 29, a trio of seconds - the Florida Sunshine Million Filly and Mare Sprint, the minor Awesome Feather Stakes February 5 and the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes at Gulfstream March 22. Last time out was a third in the Grade 2 Distaff Handicap at Aqueduct way back in April. My Pal Chrisy has three wins, four seconds and five third place finishes in her last 12 starts (all stakes races) - as consistently good as they come. Jonathan Gonzales will be in charge in My Pal Chrisy's first start in nine months - from gate 8.

Dame Dorothy - impressive Todd Pletcher trained filly has just five career starts - four wins and a third place finish. She enters off an OK third in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes at Aqueduct November 29, a win in the Grade 3 Turnback the Alarm Stakes at Belmont Park in October and a win in her stakes debut - the minor Malvern Rose Stakes in August. Dame Dorothy is cross-entered in the Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf once race later - if she does indeed race will line up in gate 11 with Edgar Prado aboard.

Swinger's Party - Martin Wolfson trained mare has 13 career starts with four wins and two seconds. She won the Millions Distaff Preview Stakes after a seventh in the Grade 3 Shuvee Handicap in July and a second in the minor Nancy's Glitter Handicap at Calder in June. She has been OK the last six months but a win last time out in the prep for this race has Swinger's Party on the radar. Edgard Zayas rides from an unfavorable outside post.

Flutterby - was runner-up to Swinger's Party in the Millions Distaff Preview Stakes in November and followed that with a second in the minor Golden Beach Handicap on this track December 10. She posted an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Gulfstream Park West in October as well and now has a win a two seconds in her last three starts. Flutterby enters in decent form and will have Luca Painici guiding her from post 10.

Wildcat Lily - raced 14 times in 2013 - a good second in the Grade 1 Test Stakes in August, a second in the Grade 1 Prioress Stakes July 27 and her biggest victory to date - in the Grade 3 Azalea Stakes at Calder July 6 being the best results. She was off for nearly five months before returning to the track last February 9 with a respectable third in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes at Gulfstream but has failed to place in six starts after that including a distant eighth in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes in April and a fourth in the Grade 3 Inside Information Stakes here in March. Wildcat Lily is coming off an OK second in the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl Stakes here December 13 after consecutive fourths. She looks for her first win in 18 months Saturday from gate 2 with Paco Lopez in the reins.

Golden Production - Martin Wolfson trained mare won four straight races around this time last year - the best of which was the minor Paseana Stakes at Santa Anita January 12, 2014. She has failed to place in her last six starts however - all stakes races. Last time out was a tenth in the minor Wasted Tears Stakes on this track September 27 after a fourth in the minor Northern Fling Stakes in July and a sixth in the Grade 3 Obeah Stakes in June. She hopes to snap a yearlong skid from post 7 with Jose Lezcano guiding her.

Dreamlicious - Martin Wolfson trained mare has 33 career starts with just four wins, 11 seconds and three third place finishes. Last time out was a second in a Starter Optional Claiming on this track December 26 which followed a twelfth in the minor Tiara Stakes here December 6 and a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming in November. She did win two straight Allowance Optional Claiming races here this past summer but has been up and down since. Dreamlicious will be out to better a fifth place finish in this race last year and her first stakes win from post 3 with Luis Saez in the reins.

Devil's Cave - defending runner-up in this race Bill Mott trained mare has 13 career starts with four wins, four seconds and two third place finishes. Last time out was a fifth in the Millions Distaff Preview November 8 which followed consecutive good thirds - the Grade 1 La Troienne Stakes at Churchill Downs and the Grade 3 Rampart Stakes in this track in March. She also won the Grade 2 Sabin Stakes on this track in February. Devil's Cave now has three wins, three seconds and two third place finishes in her last nine starts - competitive as they come the last 18 months. She will make just her second start in eight months Saturday - from gate 11 with Joel Rosario aboard.

Girlaboutown - Michael Hushion trained filly has five career starts with three wins and a second place finish - Saturday marks her stakes debut. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Aqueduct which followed a fourth in an Allowance in September and an Allowance score in August at Saratoga. She makes her first start outside of New York from the rail with Jose Ortiz guiding her.

Tapit's World - Michelle Nevin trained filly has 13 career starts with three wins, four seconds and a third place finish. She is coming off an ugly eighth in the Grade 3 Go for Wand Handicap at Aqueduct November 28 after a fifth in the Grade 3 Turnback the Alarm Stakes at Belmont Park October 26, a very good second in the Grade 3 Gardenia Stakes at Ellis Park August 9 and a career worst effort - a twelfth in the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial at Delaware Park July 5. She was inconsistent last year and failed to place in four of her last five starts. John Velazquez rides from gate 4 Saturday.

Sheer Drama - won the minor Thirty Eight Go Go Stakes at Laurel Park in September after a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Saratoga in August. Last time out was a ninth in the minor H.B.P.A Stakes at Presque Isle Downs September 25. She has 12 career starts overall with three wins, four seconds and a third place finish and will look for her first stakes score with Joe Bravo in the saddle from post 6.

Puddifoot - has seven career starts for trainer Edward Plesa with three wins. She enters off a disappointing eight in the Millions Distaff Preview Stakes November 8 after an Allowance score at Parx in September and a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming in August. She did win the minor Juvenile Filly Sprint Stakes here in November, 2013 but has placed in just one of five starts since. Juan Leyva has the mount from post 9.
