Sandiva - Irish bred Group 3 winner in France - Todd Pletcher trained filly won the minor Tropical Park Oaks to close out her 2014 campaign and won the Grade 3 Suwannee River Stakes at Gulfstream Park in February and has been OK since. Last time out was a slightly disappointing fifth in the Grade 1 Just a Game Stakes at Belmont Park June 6 which followed a third in the Grade 2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile in May and a second in the Grade 2 Honey Fox Stakes in March - both results coming behind eventual Breeders' Cup Mile winner Tepin. Sandiva has placed in four of her last five stars and will be out to avenge her worst performance in a while five months ago - with Javier Castellano in the reins of the 121 pound co-highweight from post 7. She loves South Florida and is in a good position to do just that.
Lady Lara - Irish bred Bill Mott trained filly won the minor Pebbles Stakes at Belmont Park in October, 2014 and posted a nice win over Sandiva in the Grade 2 Honey Fox Stakes in March. She has been OK lately - a third in the Grade 3 Athenia Stakes last time out at Belmont Park November 17 and a second in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel Stakes on that same track September 19. She failed to place in three stakes starts prior to that. Lady Lara has four wins, four seconds and four third place finishes in 21 career starts and enters in decent form. Jose Lezcano has the mount from gate 2.
Kitten's Dumplings - Michael Maker trained mare won the Grade 1 QE II Challenge Cup at Keeneland in October, 2013 and had three more stakes scores that year. She was disappointing after that but has looked OK lately. Last time out was a win by two lengths in the minor Little Miss Magic Stakes on this track October 24 after a fifth in the minor Glen Hill Farm One Dreamer Stakes in September and a second in the minor Indiana General Assembly Distaff at Indiana Grand in July. Kitten's Dumplings has seven wins and two second place finishes in 18 career starts and is the most accomplished of the entries this weekend. Rafael Manuel Hernandez rides the 121 pound co-highweight from post 9.
Hellenistic - Chad Brown trailed filly has three wins, a second and four third place finishes in 13 career starts - two straight wins in Britain before shipping. She has placed in three of seven starts in North America - an Allowance Optional Claiming score in March being the best result. Last time out was a second in the minor Suffolk Downs Distaff October 3 after a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming August 31 and a seventh in the Grade 3 Fasig-Tipton Waya Stakes August 8 at Saratoga. She has been OK in her career and hopes for her first stake score from they rail with Edgard Zayas aboard.
Lori's Store - Martin Wolfson trained mare has six wins, four seconds and three third place finishes in 24 career starts. She won two minor stakes races early in the summer at Gulfstream Park - the Spook Express Stakes in July and the Tiger Lily Handicap in June. Last time out was a third in the minor Little Miss Magic Stakes on this track October 24 after a seventh in the minor Fasig-Tipton Ladies Turf Stales September 1. Lori's Stone has placed in three of her last four starts and looks to snap a two race losing streak from gate 10 with Matthew Rispoli guiding her.

Hope Cross - Irish bred Chad Brown trained filly makes her stakes debut Saturday. She enters having won two of her last three races - an Allowance Optional Claiming last time out at Belmont Park October 22 and an Allowance at Saratoga in August. She had a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming sandwiched in there. Hope Cross has three wins, four seconds and a third place finish in 10 career starts and steps up in career best form. Joe Bravo has been tabbed to ride from post 5.
Prayed For - Martin Wolfson trained filly makes her graded stakes debut off a fifth in the minor Little Miss Magic Stakes on this track October 24. Before that was a nice win in the minor Panama City Stakes at Gulfstream Park September 26 and off-the-board finishes in four starts. Prayed For has four wins and two third place finishes in 13 career starts but has placed in just one of her last six starts. Luca Panici hopes to find the "good" in Prayed For, not the "bad" from gate 6.
Distorted Beauty - multiple stakes winner has 15 career starts with six wins, three second and a third place finish and enters off an OK second in the minor Ticonderoga Stakes at Belmont Park October 24, a seventh in the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Stakes on that track October 3 and an Allowance Optional Claiming at Saratoga August 31. She has yet to place in three graded stakes tries and will be looking for her first stakes score from gate 8 with Tyler Gaffalione in the irons.
Can't Explain - has two wins in six starts this year - the minor Wasted Tears Stakes at Gulfstream Park September 5 and an Allowance Optional Claiming on that track in May. She enters off a fifth in the minor Maryland Millions Ladies Stakes at Laurel Park October 17 and also had an ugly eighth in the minor Spook Express Stakes three starts back at Gulfstream Park. She arrives in typically inconsistent form and leaves from post 3 with Jose Carabello guiding her.
Pink Poppy - won the Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf in January but followed that with consecutive eleventh place finishes and a tenth - all in stakes action. She has been OK lately - a third last time out in the minor Lady Baltimore Stakes at Laurel Park September 12 followed a sixth in the minor Fasig-Tipton De La Rose Stakes at Saratoga August 8 and an OK third in the Grade 3 Dr. James Penny Memorial Handicap at Parx in July. Pink Poppy is one of a number of the entries that enters in so-so form. Eddie Castro gets the call from gate 4.
