Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Rood & Riddle Dowager Stakes is on tap for this Sunday, October 18 from Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. Fillies and mares three years old and upward will take to Keeneland's turf track and race 1 1/2 miles for the winner's share of the $125,000 purse.

She also won the Grade 3 Bewitch Stakes on this track in April. In between wins was a third in the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes in July and a fifth in the Grade 3 Fasig-Tipton Waya Stakes in August. Kitten's Point has placed in four of her last five starts overall and enters in decent form. Edgar Prado will be in the reins from the rail.
Modernstone - failed to place in nine straight starts before an upset win at 29-1 in the minor Fasig-Tipton Ladies Marathon at Kentucky Downs September 19. Poor results include a thirteenth place finish in the Grade 3 La Prevoyante Handicap in December and a tenth in the Grade 3 Red Carpet Stakes last November. Modernstone hopes to build on a career best effort Sunday and will have Paco Lopes in the saddle from post 10 hoping to accomplish that goal.
Ceisteach - Irish bred Tom Proctor trained filly has placed in seven of 10 career starts with four wins, two seconds and a third place finish. She made her graded stakes debut two starts back and won the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial at Delaware Park in July after a good win in the minor Keertana Stakes at Churchill Downs May 16. Last time out was a hiccup - a seventh in the Grade 3 Glens Falls Stakes at Saratoga September 5. Ceisteach looks for a bounce back performance this week - from gate 8 with Brian Pedroza in the irons.
Lady of Gold - Graham Motion trained mare has just two wins, four seconds and seven third place finishes in 22 career starts. She finished second in a pair of graded stakes races at the end of 2014 - the Grade 3 Maple Leaf Stakes and Grade 3 Red Carpet Stakes but hasn't been great since. Last time out was a fourth in the Grade 3 Glens Falls Stakes September 4, a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming July 30 and a sixth in the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial July 11. She has failed to place in her last four graded stakes tries and looks for her first win since an Allowance in December, 2013. Joe Rocco rides from gate 4.

Naples Gold - Ian Wilkes trained mare has three wins, five seconds and four third place finishes in 17 career starts and has just one graded stakes start - an eighth in the Grade 3 Arlington Matron Stakes in May, 2014. She has placed in five straight races against lesser company the last four months - a Claiming score in June and a third last time out in the minor Fasig-Tipton Ladies Marathon September 19 included. Naples Gold steps back into stakes company in decent form - from post 5 with Chris Laneros aboard.
Interject - Neil Drysdale trained filly races in stakes company for the first time Sunday after 10 career starts yielded two wins, a second and two third place finishes. She enters off an Allowance score at Kentucky Downs September 16 after a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Del Mar August 19, and three off-the-board finishes in similar races earlier this year. Interject looks as though she's in tough when she leaves from post 3 with Brian Joseph Hernandez in the reins.
Trophee - French bred Christophe Clement trained filly steps into stakes company for the first time Sunday. Last time out was a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park September 20. It followed an Allowance score in August, a fifth in an Allowance in July and a maiden score in June. Trophee arrives in so-so form and will have Julien Leparoux in the irons from gate 6.
Llanarmon - ships in from Woodbine where she raced 16 time and produced three wins, a second and five third place finishes. Last time out was a fifth in the Grade 2 Canadian Stakes September 13 after a third in the minor Flaming Page Stakes August 15, an eighth in the Grade 2 Dance Smartly Stakes in July and a ninth in the Grade 2 Nassau Stakes in May. Llanarmon looks for her first win in a year Sunday but enters in less-than-spectacular form. Jesus Lopez Castano will be in the saddle from gate 2.
Honey Lake - has been up and down the last four months for trainer Victoria Oliver. She enters off a sixth in the minor Fasig-Tipton Ladies Marathon September 19 after a win in the minor CTT and TOC Handicap at Del Mar August 21. She also had an Allowance Optional Claiming score in June but followed that with a seventh in the Grade 3 Modesty Handicap in July. Honey Lake enters in inconsistent from and leaves from post 7 with Jon Kenton Court guiding her.
Miss Chatelaine -2014 Chelsea Flower Stakes victor will make her seventh career start on Sunday having posted three wins so far. She enters off an Allowance Optional Claiming score September 20 after not looking good in her previous three starts - a sixth in the Grade 3 Pucker Up Stakes and an eighth in the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational included.
