Las Vegas, NV - Keeneland Race Course in Lexington will finally play host to the Grade 3 Transylvania Stakes on Wednesday, April 15 - a race that was originally scheduled for Opening Day of the Spring Meet but was rained out. A purse of $100,000 will be in the line for three year olds willing to go 1 1/16 miles in Keeneland's turf track.
Originally, 13 entries had been confirmed for the Transylvania but seven will take to the track in the Wednesday - race 8 on the card. Post time is 4:42 PM. Here is a brief look into the past performances of all seven entries for this Grade 3 stakes.
Luck of the Kitten - hasn't been worse than second in five career starts - a terrific second last time out in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf followed a gate-to-wire win in the minor Zuma Beach Stakes at Santa Anita October 5. He also had a good second in the minor Kentucky Downs Juvenile September 6 and a maiden score in his second start - at Arlington in August. Luck of the Kitten has two wins and three seconds in five career starts and hopes to keep the roll going with Mike Smith in the saddle of the 123 pound highweight from the rail. He has looked good in the leadup to this race including a bullet five-furlong move March 24 and should be the one to beat Wednesday.
Night Prowler - won the Grade 3 Dania Beach Stakes at Gulfstream Park two starts back on January 3 and followed that with a somewhat disappointing fifth as favorite in the Grade 3 Palm Beach Stakes on that same track March 7. He also had an OK third in the minor Pulpit Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 29 and a maiden score at Belmont Park October 17. Night Prowler has been up and down in his short career and hopes to gain a little consistency Friday. Javier Castellano rides from post 2.
A Lot - Bill Mott trained colt has two wins and a second place finish in five career starts. He finished fourth in his stakes debut three starts back - in the minor Awad Stakes at Belmont Park in October but has improved in his last two starts. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score February 22 after a good second behind Night Prowler in the Grade 3 Dania Beach Stakes January 3. A Lot has been trending upward and gets the honor of John Velazquez in the reins from the outside post 7.

Last time out was a sixth in the Grade 3 Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park February 22 after a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming January 19 and a ninth in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes in November. Majestico looks to snap a slump Friday when he leaves from post 3 with James Graham in the irons.

He makes his stakes debut Wednesday off a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming March 12 and a maiden score at Fair Grounds January 31 in his third career start.
