Las Vegas, NV - Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario will play host to the Grade 1 Northern Dancer Turf Stakes on Sunday, September 13. Horses three years old and upward will take to Woodbine's turf track and race 1 1/2 miles searching for the winner's portion of the $300,000 purse.

Danish Dynaformer - has nine career starts for Hall of Fame trainer Roger Attfield with four wins, a second and a third place finish. He enters off a terrific win by an incredible 7 3/4 lengths in the final leg of the Canadian Triple Crown - the Breeders' Stakes at this distance on this track August 16. It followed a sixth in the minor Prince of Wales the minor Plate Trial Stakes June 14, an Allowance by 2 1/4 lengths in April and had a maiden score in February with a close third behind Shaman Ghost sandwiched in there in the Grade 3 Marine Stakes here May 16 - his only graded stakes action to date. Danish Dynaformer has four wins, a second and a third place finish in his last seven starts and has three wins in four starts on turf - as competitive as they come lately. He lines up in post 3 with Patrick Husbands in the reins.
Lucky Speed - Irish bred entry started his career in Germany where he had three wins, a second and two third place finishes in nine starts - the best of which were wins in a Group 1 and Group 3 race in 2013. He had a pair of thirds in stakes races in 2014 but also had a ninth in a Group 1 to end his 2014 campaign. Lucky Speed has just two starts this year - both in North America with a good win last time out in the Grade 3 American St. Leger Stakes at Arlington August 15 and fourth in the Grade 2 Nijinsky Stakes on this track in July. He has placed in two of his last five starts but the win last time out may be a sign of things to come. Andrasch Starke has the mount Sunday hoping to build off the momentum of his last race - from post 5.
Triple Threat - Bill Mott French bred entry made his North American debut June 7 and won the Grade 2 Monmouth Stakes after 13 starts at home yielded three wins, two seconds and two third place finishes. He won the Group 2 Prix Eugene Adam-Grand Prix de Maisons-Laffitte in July, 2013 and did finish third in a Group 2 in April of last year at Longchamp. He fell back to earth last time out however - an eleventh place finish in the Arlington Million Stakes August 15. Triple Threat has placed in just two of his last five starts overall with his win two starts back opening a few eyes. He is a tad tough to figure out but will leave from the rail with Joel Rosario in the saddle.
Interpol - Sid Attard trained colt has 12 career starts with four wins and two second place finishes. He enters off a career defining win in the Grade 2 Sky Classic Stakes here August 16. That followed a fifth in his graded stakes debut - the Grade 2 Nijinsky Stakes on this track July 19 and two Allowance Optional Claiming scores in his previous three starts. He finished second in his only other stakes start - the minor Breeders' Stakes here a year ago. Interpol has four wins in his last six starts overall and hopes to keep the momentum going Sunday. He lines up in gate 6 with Emma-Jayne Wilson guiding him.

Ami's Holiday - Josie Carroll trained colt broke maiden at first asking and recorded a great win the Grade 3 Grey Stakes at Woodbine October 6, 2013 - his only graded stakes score. Ami's Holiday raced all three legs of Canada's Triple Crown last year and placed in all - a win in the Breeders' Stakes here August 17 followed a third in the Prince of Wales Stakes July 29 and a good second behind Lexie Lou in the Queens's Plate July 6. He has just three starts this year - a fifth last time out in the Grade 3 Seagram Cup here August 2 followed an OK third in the Grade 3 Ben Ali Stakes at Keeneland and a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming in March. Ami's Holiday hasn't been great this year but hopes to channel the form he had at this time last year. Luis Contreras gets the call from gate 4.
Aldous Snow - Malcolm Pierce trainee enters off a disappointing sixth in the Grade 2 Sky Classic here August 16 which followed a career best effort - a win in the 1 1/2 mile Grade 3 Singspiel Stakes on this track July 5 -a race that he won two years in a row. He didn't look great before that - a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming here in June followed a fifth in the Grade 2 Elkhorn Stakes in April, a disappointing eleventh in the Grade 3 River City Handicap at Churchill Downs November 8 and sixth place finishes in the 2014 Northern Dancer Turf in September and the 2014 Sky Classic Stakes last August 16. Aldous Snow has 27 career starts with five wins, five seconds and three third place finishes and looks for a bounce back Sunday. Eurico Rosa Da Silva gets the call from the post 7.
Glenard - British bred Graham Motion trained gelding has five wins, three seconds and three third place finishes in 23 career starts - two wins and a second place finish in five North American starts. Last time out was a fifth in the Grade 3 Cliff Hanger Stakes at Monmouth August 23 after two straight wins - the best of which being the minor Warrior Veterans Stakes at Indiana Grand in July. Glenard looks for his first graded stakes score and arrives in decent form. Drayden Van Dyke rides from gate 8.
Habibi - Dan Blacker New Zealand trained mare made her North American debut last June and finished eighth in the Grade 2 Royal Heroine Stakes and didn't look great after that before a win last time out in the minor Flaming Page Stakes on this track August 15. Before the win was an eighth in the Grade 3 Singspiel Stakes July 5, a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming in June and a fifth in the Grade 3 Santa Barbara Handicap in April. Habibi looks for his first graded stakes score and his second straight stakes win overall when he departs from the outside post 9 with Emma-Jayne Wilson guiding him.
Oil Strike - Mark Casse trained gelding makes his stakes debut Sunday having posted two wins and two second place finishes in eight career starts. Last time out was an Allowance score here August 23 after a second and a fourth respectively in a pair of similar races this past summer. He takes a huge step up in competition Sunday from gate 2 with Gary Boulanger in the saddle.
