A field of eight older females have been confirmed for the Bayakoa Handicap - race 6 on Del Mar's Saturday card. Post time is 3:00 PM. Here is a peek into the past performances of all eight entries for this G2 stakes.
Vale Dori - Bob Baffert trained Argentinean bred filly has four wins, two seconds and a third place finish in nine starts all around the world including a win in a Group 1 race at home in May, 2015, a second in the UAE Oaks and an OK fourth, 1 1/2 lengths back in the Group 2 UAE Derby at Meydan in March of this year. She has four North American starts - an impressive 10 1/4 length win last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Santa Anita October 28 followed a respectable third behind champions Stellar Wind and Beholder in the G1 Zenyatta Stakes on that track October 1, a 3 1/2 length win in the minor Tranquility Lake Stakes at Del Mar August 31 and a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming on that track August 3. Vale Dori has been in every race so far in her career and is expected to be again Saturday. Mike Smith has the mount from post 5.
Gloryzapper - lightly raced Phil D'Amato trained filly has placed in seven of nine career starts - four wins and three runner-up finishes. Last time out she faded to eleventh on the biggest stage - the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint. That followed a career-best effort - a win in the G3 LA Woman Stakes October 9, a disappointing graded stakes debut - an eighth in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar September 4, an Allowance Optional Claiming score over Vale Dori in August and a second in the minor Southern Truce Stakes on this track in July. Gloryzapper has been up and down in her career so far and tries for a second graded stakes win in three starts from post 3 Saturday. Jamie Theriot rides.

Desert Madam - has nine wins, seven seconds and a third place finish in 28 career starts for trainer William Spawr. She makes her stakes debut Saturday in good form - consecutive seconds in Allowance Optional Claiming races ahead of this weekend (the last coming on this track November 11) followed three straight wins - a Starter Allowance by 8 1/4 lengths here August 24, an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track by 2 1/4 lengths July 30 and a Starter Allowance at Santa Anita July 8. Desert Madam has been very good against lesser competition and hopes that success translates this weekend. Tyler Baze will be in the saddle from the outside gate 8.
Wild At Heart - has placed in seven of eight career starts for trainer Richard Mandella - two wins, three seconds and two third place finishes. She arrives off a career worst effort - an eighth in the G3 Senator Ken Maddy Stakes at Santa Anita November 5 after a respectable second behind Ghostzapper in the G3 LA Woman Stakes on that track October 9 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Los Alamitos September 17. She also had a third in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 4. Outside of one bad effort last time out Wild At Heart has been competitive every time out. Javier Castellano will try to guide her to a bounceback effort from gate 6 Saturday.
Autumn Flower - has just three wins and two third place finishes in 12 career starts for trainer Dan Hendricks. She makes her stakes debut Saturday on a two race win streak however - both Allowance Optional Claiming races at Santa Anita with the last coming October 16 over Desert Madam and one coming in August. Autumn Flower had been unflattering before that but arrives in career best form for her step up. Drayden Van Dyke has been tabbed to ride from gate 2.
Show Stealer - Art Sherman trained filly has three wins, two seconds and three third place finishes in 18 career starts. She makes her graded stakes debut Saturday off and OK third right behind Ghostzapper in the minor Southern Truce Stakes at Santa Anita July 3, an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track in May and a second and a fourth respectively in another two Allowance Optional Claiming races to start her year. Show Stealer has placed in three straight starts ahead of this weekend and steps up in decent form. She tries to make a statement with Gary Stevens guiding her from post 7.
Moyo Honey - has 10 career starts for trainer Patrick Gallagher with three wins and a second place finish. She enters having failed to place in her last four starts overall - a sixth last time out in the minor Tranquility Stakes here August 31 followed a fourth in the minor Southern Truce Stakes at Santa Anita July 3, another fourth in the G3 Adoration Stakes on that track in May and a fifth in the G1 Santa Margarita Stakes in March. Moyo Honey has been decent against lesser company but hasn't yet shown up against stakes foes. Norberto Arroyo will be in the saddle trying to change all of that Saturday - from the rail.
Barbara Beatrice - Phil D'Amato trained filly has four wins, two seconds and two third place finishes in 13 career starts. She makes her graded stakes debut Saturday off a fourth in the minor Betty Grable Stakes on this track November 13, an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Santa Anita October 23, a fifth in the minor Solana Beach Stakes on this track August 14 and another Allowance Optional Claiming score at Santa Anita in July. Barbara Beatrice has been a tad inconsistent lately and will be after a first stakes win from gate 4 Saturday. Tiago Josue Pereira has the mount.
