Mo Tom 7-5 - Tom Amoss trained colt has four wins and three third place finishes in nine career starts. He won the minor Street Sense Stakes in November and went to on to a good win in the Grade 3 LeComte Stakes at Fair Grounds in January and a third in the Grade 2 Risen Start Stakes February 20 also on that track. Last time out was another win - by an easy three lengths in the minor $500,000 Ohio Derby at Thistletown June 25 which followed an eighth in the Kentucky Derby and a fourth place finish in the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds March 26. Mo Tom has been a tad inconsistent lately but chases his second straight stakes score from gate 2 Saturday. Joe Bravo has the mount on the morning line favorite.
Dalmore 2-1 - intriguing Keith Desormeaux trained colt has three wins and three seconds in 12 career starts. He arrives off a slightly disappointing fifth against older competition (names like California Chrome, Beholder and Dortmund) in the Grade 1 Pacific Classic at Del Mar August 20 which followed a two race win streak - a career best win with a 103 Beyer Speed Figure in the Grade 3 Affirmed Stakes at Santa Anita July 2 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track in May. He wasn't great before that - a fifth in the minor California Chrome Stakes at Los Alamitos April 30 and an eighth in the Grade 1 Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct April 9. Dalmore has been inconsistent as well - two wins in his last three starts but has failed to place in three of his last five as well. Kent Desormeaux has the mount looking for a strong bounce back on the second betting choice from gate 6.

Texas Chrome 7-2 - JR Caldwell trained colt has been impressive so far in his 11 race career - six wins, a second and three third place finishes including wins in his first three career starts (two stakes). He enters off a nice win on this track - the minor Super Derby Prelude Stakes August 6 which followed a good second in the Grade 3 Iowa Derby at Prairie Meadows July 1 and a decent third in his graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Matt Winn Stakes at Churchill Downs June 18. Before that was a win in the minor Texas Stallion Stakes at Lone Star in May and a third in the minor Bachelor Stakes at Oaklawn Park in April. He also won the minor Governor's Cup Stakes at Zia Park in October. Texas Chrome has been competitive so far and tries for his first graded stakes win from post 5 Saturday. CJ McMahon will be in the reins.
Whateverybodywants 6-1 - has five career starts for trainer Kellyn Gorder with two wins, a second and a third place finish. He made his graded stakes debut two starts back and finished fourth in the Grade 2 Indiana Derby July 16 and followed that with a respectable second behind the terrific Cupid last time out in the Grade 2 West Virginia Derby at Mountaineer August 6. Early in the summer he had a win in the minor Prairie Mile Stakes June 10 and a maiden score at Arlington in May. Whateverybodywants has been in every race so far and hopes for his first graded stakes score Saturday from the rail. Jose Valdivia has been tabbed to ride.
Mending Fences 15-1 - Danny Pish trained colt has three wins, a second and two third place finishes in 10 career starts. He enters off an OK third in the minor Super Derby Prelude Stakes here August 6 and consecutive Allowance scores at Lone Star earlier this summer. He failed to place in his previous four starts however including an eighth in his only graded stakes action - the Grade 3 LeComte Stakes in January. Mending Fences has placed in his last three starts overall and will be after his first stakes score from post 3 Saturday. David Cabrera will be in the saddle.
Classy Bird 20-1 - has placed in five of seven career starts - three wins, a second and a third place finish. He won the minor Crescent Derby at Fair Grounds in March and an Allowance on this track June 8 but has failed to place in his last two starts overall. Last time out was a fifth in the minor Super Derby Prelude Stakes here August 6 after a tenth in the minor Louisiana Legends Cheval Stakes July 2. Classy Bird races in graded stakes company for the first time Saturday and enters in less-than-spectacular from. John Jacinto has been scheduled to ride from gate 4.
Fort Pulaski 20-1 - Danny Pish trained colt has three career starts with two wins - an Allowance two starts back July 9 and a maiden score June 22 - both at Evangeline. He made his stakes debut last time out and posted a disappointing seventh in the minor Super Derby Prelude Stakes here August 6. Fort Pulaski tries to get back to his winning ways and chases his first stakes score from the outside post 7 with Diego Saenz guiding him.
