OffTrackBetting.com - Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey will be the scene of the Grade 3 Boiling Springs Stakes on Sunday, July 23. Three year old fillies will be featured when they take to Monmouth Park's turf track and race 1 1/8 miles for the winner's share of the $100,000 purse.
Eight Sophomore females will take to the track in the Boiling Springs Stakes - race 8 on Monmouth Park's Sunday schedule. Post time is 4:20 PM. Here is a glance into the past performances of all eight entries for this Grade 3 stakes.
Galileo's Song 5-2 - Irish bred Chad Brown trained filly has placed in three of four career starts - two wins and a second place finish. She makes her stakes debut Sunday off an Allowance Optional Claiming score July 2, a second in a similar race June 4 and a maiden score May 5 - all at Belmont Park. Galileo's Song has been good in her career and looks ready for her step up Sunday. Joe Bravo has the mount on the slight morning line favorite.
Tin Type Gal 3-1 - Graham Motion trained filly has won two of her four career starts - failing to place in the others. Last time out was a disappointing fifth in the minor Wild Applause Stakes at Belmont Park June 19 which followed nine months away, a breakthrough win in the Grade 3 Miss Grillo Stakes on that track in September and a maiden score on this very track last August. Tin Type Gal tries to channel her form from late last summer and to bounce back from a disappointing effort when she departs from gate 4 with Trevor McCarthy guiding this second betting choice.

Thundering Sky 7-2 - George Weaver trained filly has placed in six of eight career starts - one win, three seconds and two third place finishes. She makes her graded stakes debut Friday off a good second, a head behind Ancient Secret at 17-1 odds in the minor Wild Applause Stakes at Belmont Park June 19, a fifth in the minor Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico in May, a third in an Allowance at Belmont Park in April and a maiden score at Saratoga three weeks earlier. Thundering Sky step up in so-so form and will have Gabriel Saez in the saddle from post 5.
Verbouwen 4-1 - Chad Brown trained filly has two wins and a third place finish in five career starts. She made her stakes debut last time out and finished a very disappointing ninth in the minor Wonder Again Stakes at Belmont Park June 5 after a nice two race win streak - an Allowance at Keeneland in April and a maiden score at Gulfstream in February. Verbouwen looked out of place in her first step up in competition and hopes to erase that memory from post 7 Sunday. Paco Lopez is scheduled to ride.
Hidden Threat 9-2 - has three wins and a third place finish in six career starts for trainer Arnaud Delacour. She won her first two starts including the minor Sandpiper Stakes at Tampa Bay in December and has been up and down since. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Laurel Park July 2 after an OK third in the minor Stormy Blues Stakes at Pimlico in June, a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Laurel Park in May and a disappointing eleventh in her only graded stakes action to date - the Grade 3 Sweetest Chant Stakes at Gulfstream in January. Hidden Threat will be after her first stakes score Sunday when she departs from the outside gate 8 with Daniel Centeno aboard.
Shiawassee 10-1 - Brian Lynch trained filly has four career starts with two wins. She won her first two starts at Gulfstream Park but has not looked great in the two races since. Last time out was a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park June 24 after a tenth in an Allowance at Keeneland April 27. She makes her stakes debut in less-than-spectacular form Sunday from the rail with Victor Lebron aboard.
Miss Inclusive 12-1 - John Servis trained filly has two wins and two thirds in eight career starts. She made her graded stakes debut last time out and finished fourth in the Grade 3 Delaware Oaks July 9. She also failed to place in her previous two starts - a fourth in the minor Our Mims Stakes June 8 and a seventh in the minor Parx Oaks in May. She posted an Allowance score before that at Parx in April. Miss Inclusive arrives in less-than-spectacular form and will try for a breakthrough performance from post 5 Sunday with a yet-to-be-determined jockey guiding her.
Winter 30-1 - has just four career starts for trainer James Lawrence with one win and a second place finish. She finally broke maiden last time out at Pimlico June 23 in her fourth career start after a seventh and a second respectively in two other MSW races. Winter has been a tad up and down so far but takes his enormous step up in competition in career best form. She looks in over her head and will have Ruben Silvera in the reins from post 3.
Race 8 on Monmouth Park's Sunday card with a Post Time of 4:38 PM.
