Before the streak was a good second in the Grade 3 Iowa Derby at Prairie Meadows July 1, a decent third in his graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Matt Winn Stakes at Churchill Downs June 18, a win by an incredible 10 1/2 lengths in the minor Texas Stallion Stakes at Lone Star in May and a third in the minor Bachelor Stakes at Oaklawn Park in April. He also won the minor Governor's Cup Stakes at Zia Park in October. Texas Chrome has been competitive so far and tries for his second straight graded stakes win from the rail Sunday. CJ McMahon will be in the reins of the morning line favorite.
Fish Trappe Road 2-1 - Bret Calhoun trained colt has three wins and three second place finishes in 10 career starts. Last time out was a disappointing sixth in the Grade 1 King's Bishop Stakes at Saratoga August 27 after a career defining win in the $500,000 Grade 3 Dwyer Stakes at Remington Park July 9, a respectable second at 25-1 odds in the Grade 2 Woody Stephens Stakes June 11, an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs May 7, a seventh in the Grade 3 LeComte Stakes in January and a second in the minor Sleepy Hollow Stakes on this track in October. He has two wins and a second in his last four starts overall and will be after a strong bounce back Sunday. Rafael Bejarano will be in the saddle of the morning line second choice from post 7.

Ready Dancer 5-1 - Todd Pletcher trained colt has two wins, a second and two third place finishes in 12 career starts. He has failed to place in three of his last four starts ahead of this weekend - a fourth last time out in the $100,000 minor Curlin Stakes at Saratoga July 29 followed a decent Allowance score at Remington Park June 25 and off-the-board finishes in a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming races this past spring. Ready Dancer has three career graded stakes tries - he failed to place in any. The last was a fifth in the Grade 2 Swale Stakes at Gulfstream in January. Ready Dancer tries for a breakthrough win Sunday when he leaves from post 3 with John Velazquez aboard.
Way Striking 10-1 - has placed in four of six career starts - two wins and two second place finishes. He makes his graded stakes debut on the heels of consecutive fourth place finishes - the minor Mystic Lake Derby last time out August 27 and an Allowance Optional Claiming August 5 - both at Canterbury Park. He alternated wins and runner-up finishes in his first four starts. Way Striking tries for his first stakes score and enters in so-so form. Joe Talamo gets the call.
Seeking Blame 15-1 - lightly raced Dallas Stewart trained colt has a win and a third place finish in three career starts. He made a somewhat unsuccessful stakes debut last time out - a fifth in the Grade 2 Indiana Derby at Indiana Grand July 16 which followed a maiden score June 19 at Churchill Downs and a third in his debut. Seeking Blame has been just OK and will be after a breakthrough performance from the outside post 11 Sunday. Brian Joseph Hernandez gets the call.
Sticksstatelydude 15-1 - has two wins and two second place finishes in six career starts for trainer Greg Burchell. Last time out was an OK fourth in the Grade 3 Smarty Jones Stakes at Parx September 5 after an Allowance score at Remington Park July 15, a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Churchill Downs in June, eight months away and a fourth in the Breeders' Futurity in October. Sticksstatelydude has been OK and could contend Sunday. Joel Rosario will try to induce that effort from post 5.
Secret Passage 20-1 - lightly raced Donnie Von Hemel trained colt has three career starts with two wins. The wins came in his debut on this track in October and in an Allowance Optional Claiming also here in November. Last time out was his stakes debut and it resulted in a fourth in the minor Super Derby Prelude Stakes at Louisiana Downs August 9 - after nine months away from the track. Secret Passage looked very good early on and hopes for his first stakes score from gate 6 Sunday. Florent Geroux has the mount.
Pass the Buck 20-1 - Boyd Caster trained colt has two wins and two second place finishes in his four career starts. He makes his stakes debut Sunday off a second in an Allowance here August 19, and consecutive wins at Prairie Meadows - an Allowance July 1 and a maiden score May 30. Pass the Buck has been good against lesser company and hopes it translates in his step up Sunday. Israel Ocampo will be in the reins from post 9.
Ready Intaglio 30-1 - has placed in 14 of 16 career starts for trainer Amber Meyaard - six wins, four seconds and four third place finishes. He enters on the heels of a nice three race win streak - the Grade 3 Canadian Derby last time out August 20, the minor Count Lathum Stakes July 16 and the minor Ky Alta Handicap June 18 - all at Northlands Park. They followed an OK third in the minor Western Canada Handicap in May and an Allowance score at Turf Paradise in April. Ready Intaglio has won four of his last five starts overall and enters in good form. Shane Laviolette is scheduled to ride the intriguing longest shot in the field from gate 10.
Solve 30-1 - Robertino Diodoro trained gelding has a win, two seconds and a third place finish in 10 career starts and enters on the heels of a career best effort - a second place finish behind Ready Intaglio in the Grade 3 Canadian Derby at Northlands Park August 20. Before that were consecutive fourth place finishes - in the minor Manitoba Derby August 1 and in a Starter Optional Claiming at Churchill Downs June 30. He's also had a second in a Starter Allowance at Churchill Downs, a third in a similar race at Keeneland in April and a Maiden Claiming score at Fair Grounds in March. Solve has been OK in his career and will be out to build on a nice effort last time out. Geovanni Franco has the mount from gate 8.
