Elusive Collection 2-1 - has just five career starts for trainer Josie Carroll with two wins and a third place finish. She won the minor Etobicoke Stakes at Woodbine in September in her second career start and has looked OK since. Last time out was a fourth in the Grade 2 Honey Fox Stakes at Gulfstream Park way back in April after a fourth in the minor Sand Springs Stakes on that track February 27, a respectable third in her only other graded stakes action to date - the Grade 2 Bessarabian Stakes here in November. Elusive Collection has been decent in limited action and will be out to make a little noise Saturday. Luis Contreras has the mount on this interesting morning line favorite from gate 2.
Midnight Miley 5-2 - Julia Carey trained filly has five wins, a second and a third place finish in 14 career starts. She won the minor La Lorgnette Stakes here in September and went on to post an Allowance score on this track October 14 and a ninth in her graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Maple Leaf Stakes here October 31. She has just two starts since - a terrific front running win at 27-1 odds in the Grade 3 Ontario Matron Stakes with a 96 Beyer Speed Figure last time out on this track July 17 followed a third in the minor Sweet Briar Stakes here June 4. Midnight Miley has placed in four of her last five starts overall and off her first graded stakes score could be a factor Saturday. Charming Delilah 3-1 - Sid Attard trained mare has placed in 12 of 14 career starts - four wins, seven seconds and a third place finish - all at Woodbine. She has been OK lately - a second last time out in the minor Zadracarta Stakes July 1 followed a nice win in the minor Sweet Briar Too Stakes, a fifth in her only graded stakes action to date - the Grade 3 Hendrie Stakes May 8 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score here October 31. She also had three straight runner-up finishes in Allowance Optional Claiming races last summer. Charming Delilah has been in every race so far in her career and will be after her first graded stakes score from post 3 Saturday with Patrick Husbands in the reins of the third betting choice.
Cactus Kris 9-2 - has seven wins, seven seconds and three third place finishes in 22 career starts for trainer Ryan Walsh. She won the Grade 3 Ontario Fashion Stakes here in October and went on to a fourth in the Grade 2 Bessarabian Stakes in November and a second in the minor Giant's Causeway Stakes at Keeneland in April. Her last three starts have been OK - a fourth last time out in the Grade 3 Royal North Stakes here July 31 followed a second in the minor Satin and Lace Stakes at Presque Isle Downs June 19 and a good win in the Grade 3 Hendrie Stakes here in May. She also had a third in last year's Grade 3 Seaway Stakes August 8 and a win in the minor Satin and Lace Stakes in June 14, 2015. Cactus Kris has placed in nine of her last 12 starts overall, has three wins, two seconds and a third place finish on this track and is competitive virtually every time out. She hopes to continue that trend with Huber Villa-Gomez in the reins from the outside gate 6.
Regia Marina 8-1 - Eoin Harty trained filly has hit the board in 10 of 13 career starts but makes her stakes debut Saturday. She enters on a two race win streak - an Allowance last time out at Presque Isle Downs July 17 and another Allowance at Arlington June 17. Before that was a fourth and a sixth respectively in a pair of Allowance races at Aqueduct and a maiden score to start her year - at Aqueduct January. Regia Marina arrives in career-best form and looks ready for her step up in competition. Gary Boulanger has been tabbed to ride from gate 4.
Norquay 15-1 - Sami Di Pasquale trained mare has four wins, six seconds and four third place finishes in 24 career starts. She makes her stakes debut Saturday having placed in her last four starts overall - an Allowance Optional Claiming score last time out July 9 followed a second in a Claiming June 18, another win in a Claiming May 28 and a third in a Claiming May 18. Norquay arrives in good form and will be out to make a little noise in her stakes bow - from post 5 with Omar Moreno guiding her.
