He now has seven wins and three third place finishes in 17 career starts and has placed in six of his last eight starts overall and has won five of seven career starts on Polytrack. He looks for his second graded stakes win in a row from the rail with Luis Contreras in the reins of the morning line favorite.
Black Hornet 5-2 - multiple stakes winning Pat Parente trained gelding has five wins, four seconds and four third place finishes in 18 career starts and hits the track for the first time since a win in last year's edition of this race. Before that win was a fourth in the minor Jacques Cartier Stakes in April, a third in the Grade 2 Kennedy Road Stakes in November, 2014, a second in the October 2014 Grade 2 Nearctic Stakes and a third in the Grade 3 Bold Venture Stakes a month before that. Black Hornet has placed in five of his last six starts overall and hopes to keep that trend going in his first race in nearly a year. He has looked great in training leading up to this race and will have Jesse Campbell in the irons from the outside post 6.

Before his latest win was consecutive sixth place finishes at Gulfstream - the Grade 3 Canadian Turf Stakes February 27 and an Allowance Optional Claiming in January, a second in the Grade 2 Kennedy Road Stakes on this track in November and a fourth in the Grade 2 Nearctic Stakes here October. Passion for Action looks for his first graded stakes score Saturday in less-than-spectacular form - from post 5 with Eurico Rosa Da Silva in the reins.
The Great War 6-1 - started his career in Ireland where he had two wins and debuted in North America in 2014 when he finished fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. He has largely struggled lately - an eleventh last time out in the Grade 2 Shakertown Stakes at Keeneland April 9 followed a fourth in the Grade 3 Daytona Stakes at Santa Anita in December, a twelfth in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, a third in the Grade 2 Nearctic Stakes at Woodbine October 18 and a second in the minor Quick Call Stakes at Saratoga in August. The Great War will be after his first win in 15 months Saturday but has failed to place in his last two starts overall. Alan Garcia has been tabbed with changing his fortunes around from gate 2 Saturday.
Goodoldhockeygame 8-1 - has placed in 11 of 13 career starts for trainer Robert Tiller - five wins, four seconds and two third place finishes. He arrives in good form - a second place finish last time out in the minor New Providence Stakes here April 23 followed a third place finish in the Grade 2 Kennedy Road Stakes on this track in November and a three race win streak all at Woodbine - an Allowance score October 31, the minor Overskate Stakes September 19 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score August 26. Dimension 12-1 - British bred Dimension posted a win at 10-1 odds with a 102 Beyer Speed Figure in the 2013 Play the King Stakes on this track and was OK after that - a good win in the minor Kentucky Downs Turf Dash September 24, 2014 and a third in the 2014 Grade 3 Play the King Stakes were by far his best results. Dimension has not looked good lately - failing to place in his last six starts - an eighth last time out in an Allowance April 21 followed a sixth in an Allowance Optional Claiming in July, a sixth in the Grade 2 Connaught Cup here last May, a fifth in the minor Elusive Quality Stakes in April, 2015, a tenth in the Grade 1 Frank E. Kilroe Mile and a twelfth in the 2014 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Dimension now has 31 career starts with five wins, six seconds and a third place finish and looks as though he's in over his head in this one. David Moran has been tabbed to ride from post 3.
