OffTrackBetting.com - The G2 Demoiselle Stakes will be contested this Saturday, December 2 at Aqueduct in South Ozone Park, New York. A purse of $250,000 and a 10-4-2-1 points distribution for qualification into next year's Kentucky Oaks will be on the line for two-year-old fillies filling to take to Aqueduct's dirt track and race 1 1/8 miles.

Highly regarded filly will hit the track for the fifth time for trainer Mark Casse having posted two wins and a second-place finish so far. Her first career start resulted in an Allowance score by four lengths, her second was an OK third in the G1 Natalma Stakes September 17 and her third was a breakthrough gate-to-wire six-length win in the G3 Mazarine Stakes October 7 - all at Woodbine. Last time out was a slightly disappointing bad-trip sixth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies November 4. Wonder Gadot has been competitive so far and has looked good in training leading up to this weekend but will be in search of a strong bounce back effort and first win on dirt. John Velazquez gets the call on the most experienced entry in the field from post 3.
John Servis trained filly has two career starts and two nice wins - by a combined 12 3/4 lengths. Last time out was a very successful stakes debut - a 4 3/4 length win in the G3 Tempted Stakes on this track November 3 after a gate-to-wire eight length maiden score at first asking - at Parx October 9. Daisy hasn't been touched so far and hopes to keep an impressive start to her career going with Kendrick Carmouche in the irons from the rail.
Has three career starts for trainer Philip Serpe with two wins and a second-place finish. She steps into graded stakes company for the first time Saturday off an OK second with a field-best 93 BRIS Speed rating in the minor Maid of the Mist Stakes at Belmont Park October 1 which followed a nice 2 1/4 length win in the minor Joseph A. Gimma Stakes on that track September 20 and a maiden score at first asking - at Saratoga October 17. Held Accountable has been competitive every time out and steps up in good form. Luis Saez has been tabbed to ride the only other stakes winner in the field - from gate 4.
Has one win and a third-place finish in four career starts for trainer Jeremiah Englehart. She arrives off an impressive seven length maiden score at Belmont Park October 26 which followed an eighth in her only stakes action to date - the G3 Miss Grillo Stakes also at Belmont Park October 1. She started her career with a fourth and a third in a pair of MSW races at Saratoga. Union Indy had ben mostly underwhelming before last time out but hopes to build on her only career victory. Jose Ortiz will be in the irons from post 5.
Has two career starts for trainer John Servis and two nice wins. She makes her stakes debut Saturday off an Allowance score with a 93 BRIS Speed Figure at Parx October 21 and a maiden victory at first asking - at Delaware Park July 15. Maurer Power steps up having not been touched yet and tries to make it three-for-three with Irad Ortiz guiding her from gate 6.
Has one win and a second-place finish in her three career starts for trainer Francis Abbott III. She finally broke maiden last time out - at Laurel Park October 29 which followed a second in a MSW at Parx October 10 and a sixth in her debut at Laurel Park September 17. Vindictive Ways has been trending upward and hopes to make some noise in her stakes debut. Forest Boyce has the mount from gate 2.
Arnaud Delacour trained filly has two wins in her four carer starts. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Laurel Park November 10 which followed an OK fourth in her only stakes action to date - the G3 Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland October 11 and a maiden score at Saratoga August 20. She was fifth in her debut. Layla Noor has been decent so far in her career and will chase a breakthrough performance Saturday. Manuel Franco will be in the saddle from post 7.
Will race for the third time for trainer Michael Catalano having posted one win so far. That win came last time out in a Waiver Maiden Claiming at Delaware Park October 5 which followed a sixth in a MSW on that track September 13. Stake On a Plane takes a huge step up in competition in OK form and will leave from the outside gate 8 with Joshua Navarro in the irons.
