2017 Beaugay Stakes Entries at Belmont Park

Miss Temple City - has placed in 11 of 16 career starts for trainer Graham Motion and enters off a nice win back on December 4 in the G1 Matriarch Stakes at Del Mar. Before that was an OK fifth in the Breeders' Cup Mile, a terrific win in the G1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland October 8, a close fifth in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga August 27, a fourth in the G1 Diana Stakes on that track July 23 and respectable fourth in the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Ascot for the second year in a row June 15. She posted a terrific win against the boys in the G1 Maker's 46 Mile at Keeneland last April, had a decent second in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup October 10, 2015 and an OK third in the G2 Sands Point Stakes at Belmont Park September 12 of 2015 as well. Miss Temple City has been in the mix lately, is looking to ramp up for a trip to England's famous Royal Ascot meet and tries for a third graded stakes win in four starts - from the outside gate 8 with Edgar Prado guiding the co-123 pound highweight.

Dacita - Chilean champion, Chad Brown trained filly has 16 career starts with nine wins, three seconds and a third place finish and won three of her last four starts before shipping including three Group 1 races at home. She continued her impressive run in her North American debut with a win over the incredible Tepin in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga August 29, 2015 but stumbled to a ninth place finish as 5-1 second choice in the 2015 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf. She was last seen way back on September 17 when she finished second behind Rainha Da Bateria in the G2 Canadian Stakes at Woodbine after a nice two race win streak - the G1 Diana Stakes at Saratoga July 23 and the G2 New York Stakes June 19 at Belmont Park. Dacita is of the only horses in some time to beat Tepin and enters in good form. She looks for her third graded stakes score in four starts when the other 123 pound highweight leaves from gate 6 with Irad Ortiz aboard.

Time and Motion - has 11 career starts for trainer James Toner with five wins, a second and a third place finish. She enters off consecutive disappointing sixths - the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes last time out at Keeneland April 15 and the G1 Matriarch Stakes at Del Mar December 4. Before that were a good win in the G1 QE II Challenge Cup at Keeneland October 15 and another win in the G2 Lake Placid Stakes at Saratoga August 21. She also had a second behind Canadian Horse of the Year Catch a Glimpse in the G1 Belmont Oaks Invitational July 9 and a nice three race win streak - the listed Wonder Again Stakes June 5, the minor Memories Of Silver Stakes last April 24 and a MSW at Gulfstream in March. Other results include a fifth in the 2015 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and a third in the G3 Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont Park in September of that year. Time and Motion had been very good before her last two starts and hopes to get back to that form from gate 4 Saturday. John Velazquez will be in the saddle.

On Leave - impressive Shug McGaughey trained filly has placed in six of seven career starts - four wins, a second and a third place finish. She enters off her only off-the-board finish - a fourth in the G1 QE II Challenge Cup at Keeneland back on October 15. Before that was a nice four race win streak - her graded stakes debut - the G2 Sands Point Stakes at Belmont Park September 17, the minor Riskaverse Stakes by 2 1/2 lengths at Saratoga August 25, an Allowance Optional Claiming July 17 and a maiden score in June. On Leave was untouchable this past summer and hopes to avenge an uncharacteristic outing last time out from post 7 with Jose Ortiz aboard.

Rainha Da Bateria - 2014 Grade 3 Jessamine Stakes winner - Chad Brown trained mare has three wins, four seconds and two third place finishes in 17 career starts. She was last seen way back on October 16 finishing fifth in the G1 EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine. That result followed a nice win at Woodbine in the G2 Canadian Stakes September 17, an OK third in the G3 Diana Stakes at Saratoga July 23, a disappointing seventh in the G1 Just a Game Stakes at Belmont Park June 11, a respectable second behind Tepin in the G2 Churchill Distaff Turf Mile last May 7, another seventh in the G2 Hillsborough Stakes at Tampa Bay March 12 and consecutive runner-up finishes - the G3 Suwannee Stakes February 6, 2016 at Gulfstream and the G2 Mrs. Revere Stakes in November, 2015. Rainha Da Bateria has been inconsistent but has placed in three of her last five starts overall. She hits the track for the first time in six months hoping for a second graded stakes score in three starts. Joel Rosario will be in the saddle from the rail.

All in Fun - has been just OK in her 16 race career for trainer Shug McGaughey - four wins and a third place finish. Last time out was a sixth in the minor Dahlia Stakes at Laurel Park April 22 which followed a tenth in the G3 Athenia Stakes on this track October 23, a fourth after being DQ'd from second in the G3 Violet Stakes at Monmouth Park September 10 and two straight Allowance Optional Claiming scores - one on this track June 10. Her only other graded stakes action resulted in a fifth in the G2 Lake George Stakes at Saratoga July 24, 2015. All in Fun has been inconsistent and will be chasing her first stakes score from post 5. Javier Castellano has the mount.

My Sweet Girl - has four wins, a second and five third place finishes in 21 career starts for trainer Barclay Tagg. She enters off a third in the minor Plenty of Grace Stakes at Aqueduct April 15 which followed an eighth in the G3 Suwannee River Stakes at Gulfstream February 11, a fifth in the G3 Athenia Stakes on this track in October and a fourth in the G3 Noble Damsel Stakes here September 24. Before that was a fifth in the minor Fasig-Tipton De La Rose Stakes at Saratoga August 6 and a good win in the minor Perfect Sting Stakes here July 2. My Sweet Girl has placed in just one of her last five starts overall - in less-than-spectacular form ahead of this weekend. Manuel Franco has been tabbed to ride from gate 2.

Hawksmoor - Irish bred Arnaud Delacour trained filly has placed in eight of 11 career starts - three wins and five third place finishes. She won a Group 3 888sport Prestige Stakes at home in August, 2015 and has been decent since. She arrives off a sixth in the G2 Mrs. Revere Stakes at Churchill Downs November 25 after a third in her North American debut in the G1 QE II Challenge Cup at Keeneland in October. Before that was somewhat disappointing fifth in the Group 1 Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes at Leopardstown September 10, a third in the Group 2 Kilboy Estate Stakes at Curragh in July, a good win in the Group 2 German One Thousand Guineas last June and three straight third place finishes in Group races at home. Hawksmoor was competitive before arriving in North America and hopes to rediscover that form from post 3 Saturday. Julien Leparoux rides.
