Defending runner-up in this race - French bred Group 2 winner, Chad Brown trained mare has placed in 11 of 13 career starts - five wins, two seconds and four third place finishes. She made her North American debut last May and won the G2 Sheepshead Bay Stakes here and went on to a second in the 2016 New York Stakes in June, another good win in the G1 Beverly D. Stakes at Arlington August 13 and an OK third in the G1 Flower Bowl Stakes at Belmont Park October 8. She had a somewhat disappointing seventh in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint and most recently bounced back with a nice repeat 2 1/2 length win in the G2 Sheepshead Bay Stakes May 6. At home, good results included consecutive respectable thirds including a Group 3 at Longchamp in September, 2015 and that Group 2 score - the Prix de Malleret at Saint Cloud in June, 2015. Sea Calisi has placed in five of six North American starts, has a win and a second in two starts at Belmont Park and hopes to keep that streak going from the gate 6 Friday. Florent Geroux has been tabbed to ride.
Irish bred Arnaud Delacour trained filly has placed in nine of 12 career starts - four wins and five third place finishes. She won a Group 3 888sport Prestige Stakes in August, 2015 and has been good since. She enters off a nice win in the G3 Beaugay Stakes on this track May 13 after a sixth in the G2 Mrs. Revere Stakes at Churchill Downs November 25 and an OK third in her North American debut - the G1 QE I Challenge Cup at Keeneland in October. At home results include a fifth in the Group 1 Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes at Leopardstown September 10, a third in the Group 2 Kilboy Estate Stakes at Curragh in July, a good win in the Group 2 German One Thousand Guineas in Germany last June and three straight third place finishes in Group races at home. Hawksmoor has been competitive every time out and hopes for a second straight graded stakes score on this track from post 5. Julien Leparoux is scheduled to ride.

Bill Mott trained British bred mare has placed in 13 of 17 career starts - seven wins, five seconds and a third-place finish. She was OK in Europe but has stepped up her game since arriving in North America. Last time out was a troubled but decent second behind Sea Calisi in the G2 Sheepshead Bay Stakes on this track May 6 which followed a nice two race win streak - the G3 The Very One Stakes March 4 and the G3 La Prevoyante Stakes January 28 - both at Gulfstream. Those results followed a respectable second in the G1 EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine October 16, a good win in the G3 Glens Falls Stakes at Saratoga September 3, a second in the G3 Fasig-Tipton Waya Stakes on that track August 6 and a win in track record time in the minor Belmont Coronation Invitational Stakes last June. Suffused has four wins and three seconds in her last seven starts overall and is expected to be competitive yet again Friday. Jose Ortiz will be in the irons from gate 2.
Chilean champion, and defending champion in this race - Chad Brown trained mare has 17 career starts with nine wins, four seconds and a third-place finish and won three of her last four starts before shipping including three Group 1 races at home. She continued her impressive run in her North American debut with a win over the incredible Tepin in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga August 29 but stumbled to a ninth-place finish as 5-1 second choice in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf. She has been good lately - consecutive runner-up finishes in the G3 Beaugay Stakes on this track last time out May 13 and the G2 Canadian Stakes at Woodbine back in September. Before those results were a terrific two race win streak - the G1 Diana Stakes at Saratoga July 23 and the 2016 G2 New York Stakes June 19 at Belmont Park. She also had a fourth in the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland last April and a respectable runner-up finish in the G3 The Very One Stakes at Gulfstream Park March 5, 2016. Dacita is of the only horses in some time to beat Tepin and enters in very good form. She hasn't been worse than second in her last four starts overall and tries to keep the roll going from gate 8 Friday. Irad Ortiz will be in the reins.
Lightly raced British bred Graham Motion trained filly will race for the sixth time Friday having posted three wins and a third-place finish so far. Last time out was an OK third in the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland April 15 which followed a terrific win in the G3 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes on that track October 21 and an Allowance score at on this track September 18 in her North American debut. Before that was a tenth in a Group 3 race in Germany last April and a Maiden score at first asking at Baden Baden in September, 2015. Quidura has been good so far in her career and will be to keep an impressive run going Friday from the rail. Javier Castellano will be in the saddle.
Michael Maker trained mare has placed in 12 of 14 career starts - five wins, six seconds and a third-place finish. Last time out was her worst effort in a while - an OK fourth in the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland April 15 after an OK second in the minor Daisy Devine Stakes February 25 and a nice win in the minor Marie G. Krantz Memorial Stakes January 21 - both at Fair Grounds. Before that were consecutive seconds including the minor Blushing KD Stakes on that track in December and the G3 Cardinal Handicap at Churchill Downs in November. Kitten's Roar has been a factor in every start the last 12 months and will chase a first graded stakes score in her third try - from gate 4 with Jowl Rosario guiding her.
Irish bred Shug McGaughey trained filly has three wins, a second and four thirds in 10 career starts. She won a minor stakes race at Toulouse last April and has been decent since. Last time out was an OK third behind Sea Calisi and Suffused in the G2 Sheepshead Bay Stakes on this track May 6 which followed a good second in her North American debut - the G3 Rood and Riddle Dowager Stakes at Keeneland in October, a fourth in a G2 race at Baden Baden Germany in September and a pair of thirds in G3 races in France - the last coming in the Morocco Cup in July. Apple Betty looked OK in Europe and has been knocking on the door of her first North American win. She hopes to get that Friday with John Velazquez aboard from post 3.
Mark Hennig trained mare has six wins, five seconds and two third place finishes in 22 career starts. She enters in pretty good form - a win last time out in her graded stakes debut - the G3 Orchid Stakes at Gulfstream April 1 followed consecutive Allowance Optional Claiming scores on that track this past winter. Before that were two straight runner-up finishes in Allowance Optional Claiming races - one coming on this track in October. Summersault has certainly been ramping up ahead of this weekend and hopes for a fourth straight victory (second straight graded stakes) from post 7. Paco Lopez has the mount.
Brad Cox trained filly has just seven career starts with three wins and three runner-up finishes - the only time she didn't hit the board was in her debut. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs May 20 which followed a good second in her graded stake debut - the G1 American Oaks December 31. Before that was a second in the minor Winter Memories Stakes at Aqueduct in November and two straight Allowance Optional Claiming scores - the last coming on this track in October. Sassy Little Lila has been competitive every time out but has yet to record a stakes win. Jockey Luis Saez hopes to change all of that from the outside post 9 Friday.
