Con Te Partiro has been decent in minor stakes action and hopes it translates in his step up - from post 5 with Flavien Prat guiding the tepid morning line favorite.
Richard Baltas trained Irish bred filly has four wins and three runner-up finishes in 12 career starts. She arrives off a career-best effort - a nice last-to-first 1 3/4 length win at 21-1 odds in the G2 San Clemente Handicap on this track July 23. It followed a runner-up finish in the minor Special Goddess Stakes at Santa Anita June 11, an Allowance score on that track May 14, a tenth in the minor China Doll Stakes there March 11 and a fourth in the minor Sweet Life Stakes on that track in February. Before that was a thirteenth in her North American debut - the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and a nice win in her last start at home - the Group 3 Bathwick Tyres Dick Poole Stakes in September. She enters off a career-worst result - a sixth in the G1 Belmont Oaks Invitational July 8 after three straight quality runner-up finishes - the G2 Honeymoon Stakes at Santa Anita June 17, in the G3 Senorita Stakes on that track May 6 and the minor China Doll Stakes in March also at Santa Anita. Before that was an Allowance Optional Claiming score January 29 and a maiden score overseas in August. Dream Dancing has been a tad inconsistent lately but has placed in four of her last six starts ahead of this weekend. She shoots for a strong bounce back off an underwhelming effort - from gate 10 with Julien Leparoux scheduled to ride.

Last time out was a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming here July 21 which followed consecutive thirds - the G2 Honeymoon Stakes at Santa Anita June 17 and behind Sircat Sally and Beau Recall in the G3 Senorita Stakes there May 6. Those results followed a win at first asking - at Santa Anita March 3. Pacific Wind has been competitive so far and hopes to be again Saturday with Corey Nakatani guiding her from post 11.
