Defending Champion in this race - John Sadler Eclipse Award winner as 2015 Champion 3-Year-Old Filly arrives on a nice two-race win streak - the G1 Beholder Mile at Santa Anita June 13 and on April 14 in the G1 Apple Blossom Handicap at Oaklawn Park. The wins followed an OK fourth in the Breeders' Cup Distaff and another good two race win streak - both over the terrific Beholder including the G1 Zenyatta Stakes at Santa Anita October 1 and the G1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar July 30. She also had a second behind Beholder after a seven-month layoff in the G1 Vanity Mile last June 4, a good second in the 2015 Breeders' Cup Distaff and yet another tidy two race win streak in 2015 - the G3 Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar, and the G2 Summertime Oaks at Santa Anita. Other results include a terrific win in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 4, 2015 and an upset 2 3/4 length victory in the G3 Santa Ysabel Stakes at 7-1 odds February 28, 2015. She now has nine wins, two seconds and a third-place finish in 14 career starts and has won four of her last five overall - as competitive as they come when healthy. Bob Baffert trained Argentinean bred mare has nine wins, four seconds and a third-place finish in 15 starts all around the world including a win in a Group 1 race at home in May, 2015, a second in the UAE Oaks and an OK fourth, 1 1/2 lengths back in the Group 2 UAE Derby at Meydan in March of 2016. She has 10 North American starts (seven wins) and enters off an OK second behind Stellar Wind in the G1 Beholder Mile at Santa Anita June 3. Before that was an impressive six race win streak - all as favorite - the G3 Adoration Stakes at Santa Anita May 7, the G1 Santa Margarita Stakes on that track March 18, the G2 Santa Maria Stakes by 1 3/4 lengths February 11, the G2 La Canada Stakes in gate-to-wire fashion by 2 1/2 lengths January 14, by three lengths as 1-2 favorite in the G2 Bayakoa Handicap at Del Mar December 3 and by an impressive 10 1/4 length win in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Santa Anita October 28. Vale Dori also recorded a respectable third behind champions Stellar Wind and Beholder in the G1 Zenyatta Stakes October 1 and had a 3 1/2 length win in the minor Tranquility Lake Stakes at Del Mar August 31. She has been a serious factor in every race so far in her career and tries for a seventh win in eight starts (sixth straight graded stakes) Sunday. Mike Smith has been tabbed to ride from gate 2.

Has just three wins and four five place finishes in 17 career starts for trainer Dan Hendricks. She made her stakes debut December 13 and finished sixth in the G2 Bayakoa Handicap at Del Mar December 3 and followed that with an OK third behind Vale Dori and Show Stealer in the G2 La Canada Stakes on this track January 14, another third behind Vale Dori and Show Stealer again in the G2 Santa Maria Stakes there February 11 and yet another third on March 18 in the G1 Santa Margarita Stakes on that track. Last time out she stumbled to a fifth in the G3 Adoration Stakes at Santa Anita May 7. Last year she had a two-race win streak - both Allowance Optional Claiming races at Santa Anita with the last coming October 16 and one coming in August. Autumn Flower has certainly been up and down in her career so far and will be out for a first stakes win Sunday from gate 4 with Martin Pedroza aboard.

She made her stakes debut last time out and won the minor Santa Lucia Stakes by 2 1/2 lengths at Santa Anita June 4 after a runner-up finish in an Allowance Optional Claiming there April 14, 10 months away, an Allowance score at Churchill Downs last June, a second in another Allowance last May and a maiden score at Santa Anita in March, 2016. Faithfully steps into graded stakes company for the first time Sunday in OK form and will have Rafael Bejarano guiding her from the outside post 6.
John Sadler trained mare has placed in seven of nine career starts - four wins, a second and two third-place finishes. She makes her stakes debut Sunday in decent form - a third last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream followed a three-race win streak - all Allowance races. Shenandoah Queen has been good against lesser company and hopes for a breakthrough in her step up in competition Sunday. Drayden Van Dyke has the mount from post 5.
Has just three wins in 15 career starts for trainer Keith Desormeaux to go along with one second and three third-place finishes. She arrives off an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs June 11, a fourth in a similar race on that track May 20 and a ninth in an Allowance at Keeneland April 14. Her only graded stakes result was a fourth in the 2016 G3 Ontario Colleen Stakes. Motown Lady has been OK against lesser company and looks to hit the board in stakes company. Jockey Kent Desormeaux will try to change all of that from the rail Sunday.
