X Y Jet 7-5

2015 champion in this race by 9 1/4 lengths, speedy Jorge Navarro trained gelding will hit the track for the first time in over 13 months Saturday. Last time out was an OK third in the G3 Francis J. De Francis Memorial Dash at Laurel Park in November, 2016 which followed a fifth in the G1 Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park October 1 of last year. Before that was a second in the prestigious $2 million Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen at Meydan on March 26, 2016 and five straight wins - the G3 Gulfstream Park Sprint in February, 2016, the minor Sunshine Millions Sprint by 4 1/4 lengths in January, the 2015 G3 Mr. Prospector and two straight Allowance Optional Claiming races. Overall, he has six wins, six seconds and two third place finishes in 17 career starts and will try to return from his dominant form from two years ago. Emisael Jaramillo has the mount on the morning line favorite from gate 6.

Quijote 5-1

Armando De la Cerda trained gelding has placed in 10 of 15 career starts - six wins and four third-place finishes. He enters off a nice win in the minor Millions Sprint Preview Stakes at Gulfstream Park November 11 after a fifth in the G3 Smile Sprint Stakes on this track July 1 and another win in the minor Big Drama Stakes here in May. Quijote has won four of his last six starts overall but has yet to post a graded stakes victory in two tries. Jockey Jose Batista will try to change all of that on the morning line second choice from gate 8 Saturday.

Horse Racing Rebates

Fire Mission 6-1

Jorge Navarro trained gelding has 16 wins, six seconds and 11 third-place finishes in 59 career starts. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday in having won four straight races. Last time out was a Starter Optional Claiming score at Gulfstream Park November 26 after three Allowance Optional Claiming wins at Monmouth Park this past summer. He also won the minor Trust Buster Stakes on this track in February. Fire Mission steps up in career-best form and could be in line for his biggest win to date from post 7. Tyler Gaffalione gets the call.

First Growth 6-1

Odin Londono trained gelding has 21 carer starts with eight wins, two seconds and three third-place finishes. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a good 3 1/2 length win at this distance in the minor Claiming Crown Express Stakes on this track December 2 which followed a seventh in an Allowance at Thistledown August 30 and a pair of sevenths including the listed Senator Robert C. Byrd Memorial Stakes at Mountaineer August 5 -the last two losses coming by DQ. He won four straight Allowance races in the Spring as well but has been up and down since. First Growth looks to build on a career-best effort when he leaves from the rail with Gerardo Corrales in the irons.

Sonic Mule 8-1

Has placed in nine of 13 career starts for trainer Todd Pletcher - four wins, a second and four third-place finishes - two wins and a third in three starts on this track. He won two minor stakes races here last winter including the listed Mucho Macho Man Stakes in January and the minor Buffalo Man Stakes last December but has been largely underwhelming since. Last time out was an OK third in the listed City of Laurel Stakes at Laurel Park November 11 which followed off-the-board finishes in his four previous starts - a tenth in the G3 Gallant Bob Stakes at Parx September 23, a DNF in the listed Easy Goer Stakes at Belmont Park in June, a fifth in the G3 Pat Day Mile in May and an eighth in the G2 Tampa Bay Derby in March. Sonic Mule shoots for a first graded stakes score Saturday in so-so form and will leave from gate 2 with John Velazquez aboard.

Yourdreamsormine 12-1

Defending fifth-place finisher in this race has eight wins, eight seconds and four third-place finishes in 34 career starts for trainer Elizabeth Dobles. He has two minor stakes scores in his career (the last coming in the Groomstick Stakes here in August, 2016) and has been just OK since. Last time out was a fourth in the minor Millions Sprint Preview Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 11 after nine months away, an Allowance Optional Claiming score here February 17, a fourth in the minor Sunshine Millions Sprint in January and his fifth in the G3 Mr. Prospector Stakes January 1. He placed in his previous nine starts including four wins. Yourdreamsormine has been just OK and tries for a first graded stakes score in his second try - from post 3 with Luis Saez guiding him.

Fast Friar 12-1

Has placed in eight of 11 career starts for trainer John Mazza - three wins, three seconds and two third-place finishes. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday in OK form - a second last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming September 23 at Parx followed a third in the listed Donald LeVine Memorial Stakes September 4 on that track, a second with a respectable 101 BRIS Speed Rating in the minor John J. Reilly Handicap at Monmouth Park July 30 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track June 23. Fast Friar seeks a first stakes win Saturday. Nik Juarez will be in the saddle from post 9.

Sweetontheladies 15-1

Henry Collazo trained colt has 10 career starts with four wins and a second-place finish. He enters off a second behind Quijote in the minor Millions Sprint Preview Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 11 which followed off-the-board finishes in three stakes races - fourths in the minor Groomstick Handicap here September 3 and the minor Jupiter Beach Handicap August 20 and a sixth in the G3 Carry Back Stakes on this track July 1. He won two of his previous three however - the listed Mucho Macho Man in January and the minor Juvenile Sprint Stakes at Gulfstream Park West in November, 2016. Sweetontheladies has been a tad inconsistent and chases a first graded stakes score from gate 4. Leonel Reyes rides.

K Wave 30-1

Ben Colbrook trained colt has a win and a pair of runner-up finishes in his four career starts. He steps into stakes company for the first time Saturday on the heels of consecutive seconds in Allowance races - the last coming at Churchill Downs November 10. His only win came in his debut - a MSW by 5 3/4 lengths at Indiana Grand in August. K Wave takes an enormous step up in competition in decent form and will have Albin Jimenez in the reis from post 5.

Quinientos 30-1

Has just two wins in 14 career starts for trainer Alfredo Ronso to go along with four third-place finishes. Last time out was a ninth in the minor Showing Up Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 4 which followed consecutive thirds in minor stakes action - the Alabama Jack's Handicap October 1 and the Ocala Flame Handicap June 9 - both on this track. Before that was an Allowance Optional Claiming score here May 6, a tenth in the G1 Florida Derby April 1 and a sixth in the G2 Fountain of Youth Stakes March 4 - both here. Quinientos has been mostly unflattering in his career but hopes for a first stakes score from the outside gate 10. Miguel Angel Vasquez is scheduled to ride.
