Awesome Slew - Edward Plesa trained colt has eight career starts with three nice wins and two third place finishes. Last time out was a third behind Stanford and Keen Ice in the G3 Harlan's Holiday Stakes here December 17 which followed a slightly disappointing fifth after setting the pace in the G2 Pennsylvania Derby at Parx September 24 and a career best result - a dominating, gate-to-wire seven length win in the G3 Smarty Jones Stakes on that track September 5. Before that was a sixth in the G1 Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park July 31, an OK third in the G3 Pegasus Stakes at Monmouth Park June 19 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track May 21. He also had an OK fourth in the G3 Sanford Stakes at Saratoga last July and a maiden score at first asking on June, 2015. Awesome Slew hasn't been afraid of top company and will be after his second graded stakes win in four starts in decent form. Joel Rosario rides.
We're All Set - Fernando Abreu trained gelding has 38 career starts with seven wins, six seconds and nine third place finishes. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a fourth in the minor Claiming Crown Jewel Stakes here December 3, an Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track September 15, a second in a similar race August 5 and a nice win in the minor Sea of Grass Stakes June 26. He posted a third in the minor Bull Gator Stakes on this track before that. We're All Set has placed in eight of his last nine starts overall with five wins over that span and will try to make a statement in his step up from gate 4. Luis Saez is scheduled to ride.

He enters off a respectable second in the minor Millions Classic Preview Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 12, an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track October 16 and a fourth and a third respectively in a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming this past summer. Piloting tries for his first stakes win in his graded stakes debut when he departs from gate 6 Saturday with Luca Panici in the irons.
Uncle Vinny - won two of his first three career starts for trainer Todd Pletcher including the Grade 3 Sanford Stakes at Saratoga July 25, 2015 and followed that with a third in the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes on that track last September. He has placed in just two of seven starts since. Last time out was an eighth in the minor Millions Turf Preview Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 12 after a ninth in the G3 Smarty Jones Stakes at Parx September 5 and a fourth in the G2 Amsterdam Stakes at Saratoga July 30. He also had an OK third in the minor Long Branch Stakes July 9 and a second in an Allowance May 30 - the last two at Monmouth Park. Uncle Vinny will be after his first win in 18 months Saturday - from post 7 with John Velazquez guiding him.
Hy Riverside - Antonio Sano trained gelding has four wins, three seconds and two third place finishes in 15 career starts. He made his graded stakes debut two starts back and finished a distant fifth in the G3 Harlan's Holiday Stakes on this track December 17 and followed that with another fifth last time out in the G3 Hal' Hope Stakes just last week. Before his latest two starts he had a fourth in the minor Millions Classic Preview Stakes at Gulfstream Park West November 12 and two straight Allowance Optional Claiming scores here in August. He's also posted a respectable second in the minor Trinniberg Stakes here July 30 and another Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track July 16. Hy Riverside has been good against lesser competition and hopes hit the board for the first time in four starts from post 3 Saturday. Jose Ortiz gets the call.
Joshua's Comprise - has 55 career starts for trainer Barry Rose with just two wins, six seconds and seven third place finishes. He has five graded stakes starts but failed to place in any - a sixth in the G3 Harlan's Holiday Stakes here December 17 and a ninth in the G3 Skip Away Stakes here in 2014 included. He has failed to place in 13 straight races ahead of this weekend as well - a seventh last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track January 7 followed that fifth in the Harlan's Holiday, a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming here December 11, a seventh in the minor Millions Classic Preview Stakes November 12 and another fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming in October. Joshua's Comprise hasn't been competitive lately and isn't expected to be Saturday with Martin Ramos Ramirez in the saddle from post 5.
Tiger of Wales - Michael Maker trainee has five wins, four seconds and three third place finishes in 21 career starts. He won three straight Allowance races in the spring/summer of 2016 and took his act to South America where he posted consecutive runner-up finishes in Allowance races in the fall and an OK fourth last time out in the Group 1 Copa Invitacional Stakes December 11. He has yet to post a stakes win but hopes to change all of that when he leaves from the rail Saturday with Tyler Gaffalione aboard.
Nauset Beach - has just three wins in 27 career starts for trainer Teresa Pompay to go along with six seconds and four third place finishes. He enters off consecutive fifths in Allowance Optional Claiming races - the last on this track January 7. He posted an Allowance Optional score September 26 and a second in a similar race three weeks earlier however. Nauset Beach has placed in just two of his last eight starts overall - in less-than-spectacular form for his step up. Jockey Paco Lopez will try to provide the upset when they leave from gate 2 Saturday.
