Miss Temple City

Defending champion in this race and the first filly to win the G1 Maker's 46 Mile and Shadwell Turf Mile has placed in 13 of 19 career starts for trainer Graham Motion and enters off a good win in the G3 Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes September 9. It followed an OK third in the G3 Matchmaker Stakes at Monmouth Park July 30, a thirteenth after fading overseas at the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot in June and seven months away. Before the layoff was a good win in the G1 Matriarch Stakes at Del Mar December 4, an OK fifth in the Breeders' Cup Mile and her terrific win in the G1 Shadwell Turf Mile October 8. She was OK before that - a close fifth in the G2 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga last August 27, a fourth in the 2016 G1 Diana Stakes on that track July 23 and respectable fourth in the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Ascot June 15, 2016. She also posted a terrific win against the boys in the G1 Maker's 46 Mile at Keeneland in April, 2016. Miss Temple City has been a factor in the past, has been superb on this track and shoots for a second straight graded stakes score Saturday. Edgar Prado rides from gate 8.

Heart to Heart

Canada's 2014 champion 3-year-old male, multiple G3 winning Brian Lynch trainee and defending fourth place finisher in this race enters in good form - a good 1 1/4 length win last time out in the G2 Bernard Baruch Handicap at Saratoga September 4 followed a second behind Miss Temple City in the G1 Maker's 46 Mile at Keeneland April 14, a good win March 4 in the G3 Canadian Turf Stakes at Gulfstream Park and a fourth in the G2 Ft. Lauderdale Stakes on that track January 14. Before that was a front running win in the minor El Prado Stakes at Gulfstream December 17, a fourth in the minor Artie Schiller Stakes at Aqueduct November 19 and a nice win in the G3 Knickerbocker Stakes at Belmont Park October 10. In 2014, he had a nice three race win streak as well - the G3 Commonwealth Turf Stakes, the G3 Jefferson Cup Stakes and the minor Better Talk Now Stakes in wire-to-wire fashion. Heart to Heart now has 13 wins (nine graded stakes), four seconds and three third place finishes in 30 career starts and has placed in five of his last six starts ahead of this weekend with three stakes wins over that span. Mondialiste

Irish bred entry has five wins, six seconds and five -third-pace finishes in 30 career starts. He finished second behind the sensational but now retired Tepin in the 2015 Breeders' Cup Mile and has been OK since culminating in a nice win in the G1 Arlington Millions in August, 2016. Le Ken

Intriguing Argentinian bred Ignacio Correas trained colt has placed in eight of nine career starts - five wins and three second-place finishes. Dimension caught fire again last summer - consecutive wins including the G2 King Edward Stakes at Woodbine and in the G2 Connaught Cup Stakes. Ballagh Rocks

Bill Mott trained colt has five wins, two seconds and to third-place finishes in his 13 career starts. He won three straight Allowance races this past winter including an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream January 20 but didn't looked great in two starts after that - a seventh in the G1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic at Churchill Downs May 6 followed a fourth in the G1 Maker's 46 Mile April 14. Last time out was an OK third in the G1 Fourstardave Handicap at Saratoga August 12 which followed a career-best effort - a win in the G3 Poker Stakes at Belmont Park June 18. Ballagh Rocks seems to be over his funk and will chase a second graded stakes score in three starts Saturday. Jose Lezcano gets the call from gate 6.

Flatlined

Late blooming Charles Dickey trained gelding has 25 career starts with six wins, five seconds and two third place finishes. Before that was a third in the G3 Stars and Stripes Stakes at Arlington July 8, an eighth in the G1 Manhattan Stakes at Belmont Park June 10 and a respectable second in the G3 Miami Mile at Gulfstream Park April 29. He failed to place in his previous nine starts. He shoots for his first graded stakes Saturday in so-so form. Shaun Bridmohan has the mount from post 13.
