OffTrackBetting.com - Parx Racing in Bensalem, Pennsylvania will be the scene of the G3 Parx Dash on Saturday, July 8. Horses three years old and upward will be featured when they take to Parx's turf track and race just five furlongs for the winner' share of the $200,000 purse.

Defending champion - Christophe Clement trained gelding has 21 career starts with seven wins, four seconds and three third place finishes. He enters on the heels of consecutive fourth place finishes - the G3 Jaipur Invitational last time out at Belmont Park June 10 and the G3 Twin Spires Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs May 5. Before that was an OK third as favorite in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint and a terrific three race win streak - the minor Belmont Turf Sprint Invitational October 8, the 2016 Parx Dash July 9 and the G3 Jaipur Invitational Stakes at Belmont Park last June 11. He also posted a win in the G3 Turf Monster Handicap here in September, 2015 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score two months before that. Pure Sensation has been a tad up and down in his but has shown some serious form in the past. He goes for the repeat win while snapping a three-race losing streak when he leaves from gate 10 with Kendrick Carmouche scheduled to ride the tepid morning line favorite.
Has placed in 18 of 23 career starts for trainer Peter Miler - 10 wins, six seconds and two third place finishes. He enters on a nice two-race win streak - the minor Pennsylvania Governor's Cup at Penn National June 3 and the minor Jim McKay Turf Sprint at Pimlico May 19. Before that was an OK fifth in the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan March 25, a second in the minor Sensational Star Stakes February 25 and a good win in the minor Donald Valpredo California Cup Sprint in January- the last two at Santa Anita. He had a third in the G3 San Simeon Stakes at Santa Anita in December and a second in the G3 Eddie D Stakes on that track in September as well. Richard's Boy has been as competitive as they come the last 18 months and will chase a first graded stakes score from post 3 as the morning line second choice. His jockey hasn't been named yet.

Has 40 career starts for trainer Bruno Tessore with 11 wins, 10 seconds and two third place finishes. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday in good form - a Starter Optional Claiming score last time out May 11 followed a second in a similar race April 14 and a two-race win streak - an Allowance Optional Claiming March 26 and a Claiming March 10 - all results at Gulfstream. He has placed in five straight races ahead of this weekend and hopes his success against lesser company finally translates in his step up. Daniel Centeno has the mount on the third betting choice from post 7.
Has 10 wins, five seconds and eight third place finishes in 35 career starts for trainer Jane Cibelli. He finished fifth in this race in 2015 and has been decent since. Last time out was a third in the minor Jim McKay Turf Sprint at Pimlico May 19 which followed consecutive seconds in minor stakes action - the Silks Run Stakes March 12 and the Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint February 6 - both at Gulfstream. Before that was a nice win in the minor Sunshine Millions Turf Sprint in January, a fourth in the minor Fabulous Strike Handicap in November and a good win in the G3 Woodford Stakes at Keeneland October 3. He has placed in four of his last five starts ahead of this weekend - decent form and will have Albin Jiminez guiding him from gate 8.
Has just three wins, two seconds and a third-place finish in 15 career starts for trainer Michael Tomlinson. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a third in the minor Mighty Beau Overnight Stakes at Churchill Downs June 3, an eighth in the minor Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint January 28 and a win and a second respectively in a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming races this past winter. He has quietly placed in three of his last four starts and shoots for a first stakes score from post 5 Saturday. Joe Rocco Jr. rides.
Jason Servis trainee has four wins, three seconds and three third place finishes in 22 career starts. He arrives off a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park June 4, a second in a similar race on that track May 11 and an eighth in his only graded stakes start to date - the G3 Canadian Turf Stakes at Gulfstream Park March 4. He failed to place in his previous three starts as well (two minor stakes) but did post an Allowance Optional Claiming score in the race before that. In 2015, he had a second in the G3 Hill Prince Stakes and had consecutive sevenths in his other two graded stakes starts. Vision Perfect has been just OK in his career so far but has yet to post a graded stakes score. Mychel Sanchez will try to change all of that from gate 6.
Patricia Farro trainee has 34 career starts with seven wins, four seconds and six third place finishes. He finished fourth in this race in 2014 and seventh in 2015 and has been up and down since. Last time out was an OK second in the minor Pennsylvania Governor's Cup Stakes at Penn National June 3 which followed nine months away, a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming September 16, a tenth in the G3 Turf Monster Stakes here September 5 and seven straight off-the-board finishes. Bold Thunder hasn't been all that impressive the last couple of years and will be out to shock the field from post 9. Paco Lopez gets the call.
Alan Goldberg trained gelding has four wins, six seconds and a third-place finish in 18 career starts. He enters off an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Monmouth Park June 23 which followed eight months away, a seventh in the minor Belmont Turf Sprint Invitational October 8 and a third in his only graded stakes race to date - the G3 Turf Monster Stakes on this track in September. Before that was a tidy five race win streak - the minor My Frenchman Stakes at Monmouth in August and three Allowance races with the last coming last July 11 at Laurel Park and one on this track June 13. He has been worse than third just once in his last twelve starts overall but has yet to record a stakes score. in Jevian Toledo has been tabbed changing all of that from the rail Saturday.
2015 Eclipse Award finalist for Male Sprinter finished second in this race in 2015 and seventh in 2014. He has failed to place in three of his last four starts ahead of this weekend - a sixth last time out in the G2 Shakertown Stakes at Keeneland April 8 followed a third in the minor Silks Run Stakes at Gulfstream Park March 11, a tenth in the minor Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint and a ninth in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Before that was a nice win in the G3 Woodford Stakes at Keeneland October 8 and an unsuccessful trop overseas in which he failed to place in four races. In 2015, he placed in 10 straight races including wins in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Mongolian Saturday has shown some serious form in the past and will try to post his first win in eight months (4 races) when he leaves from gate 4 with Emmanuel Esquivel guiding him.
Has placed in 12 of 17 career starts for trainer Edward Allard - six wins, four seconds and two third place finishes. He had a stretch of four wins ad two seconds during a six-race period in 2015/2016 including a win in the G3 Maryland Sprint Handicap in May, 2016 and a second in the G3 Tom Fool Handicap in March of that year and has been so-so since. Last time out was a fourth in the minor Decathlon Stakes at Monmouth Park June 11 which followed an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track May 29, a second in an Allowance here October 8 and a fourth in the minor Hall of Fame Stakes on this track in September. Always Sunshine has been very good at time but has placed in just two of his last six starts overall. He shoots for his first stakes score in 13 months from post 11 Saturday with a yet-to-be-determined jockey guiding him.
French bred Willard Thompson trained gelding has just four wins in 31 career starts to go along with nine seconds and four third place finishes. Last time out was a Starter Allowance score on this track June 5 which followed a sixth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park in October, a second in a similar race here last June 24 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Monmouth Park June 4, 2016. His only two graded stakes starts resulted in an eighth in the 2014 Edie D Stakes at Santa Anita and a fifth in the 2013 edition of that race. Snowday has placed in four of his last five starts (all Allowance races) and hopes for his first stakes score. He leaves from gate 2 with a yet-to-be-determined jockey in the saddle.

Winning the Medal hasn't been all that impressive lately and looks as though he will be in over his head from the outside gate 12 Saturday. A jockey has yet to be named.
