2017 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes Entries at Pimlico Race Course

Dancing Rags - Graham Motion trained filly has two wins and a third place finish in her five career starts. She debuted with a third August 5 and broke maiden September 17 at Laurel Park. She made a very successful step up into stakes company - a one length win in the G1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland October 7 but hasn't been great in two starts since - an eighth place finish in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies was followed by a dull sixth last time out in the G3 Beaumont Stakes at Keeneland April 9. Dancing Rags looked great before his last two starts, posted a bullet move a week ago and hopes to get back on track from post 3 Friday with Trevor McCarthy guiding the 122 pound highweight.

Lights of Medina - Todd Pletcher trained filly has two wins, a second and a third place finish in her five career starts. She makes her graded stakes debut Friday on a nice two race win streak - the minor Weber City Miss Stakes April 22 -a "Win and You're In" for the Black-Eyed Susan and a MSW March 26 - both at Laurel Park. Before that were a second, a fourth and a third in a trio of MSW races to start her career. Lights of Medina has been trending upward indeed and hopes to continue the momentum from post 5 with Feargal Lynch in the irons.

Summer Luck - Also Eligible Entry for the Kentucky Oaks has a win, a second and two third place finishes in six career starts for trainer Mark Casse. Last time out was a fifth in the G1 Ashland Stakes at Keeneland April 8 which followed a fast-closing third in the G2 Davona Dale Stakes at Gulfstream March 4, a close fourth in the G2 Forward Gal Stakes on that track February 4, a third in the minor Old Hat Stakes at Gulfstream January 7, a maiden score at Churchill Downs November 11 and a second in her debut at Keeneland in October. Summer Luck has been OK in her career and will chase her first ever stakes score Friday from post 9. Javier Castellano rides.

Moana - will hit the track for the third time for trainer Todd Pletcher having posted a win and a second place finish so far. She makes her stakes debut Friday off a maiden score at Keeneland April 14 after a second in her debut at Tampa Bay March 10. Moana takes a huge step up in competition Friday having shown improvement so far and having looked terrific in training - she is the only entrant with a triple-digit BRIS Speed rating (101). John Velazquez has the mount from post 7.

Full House - has placed in all five career starts for trainer James Jerkens - one win, a second and three third place finishes - all at Aqueduct. She enters off a respectable third in the G2 Gazelle Stakes April 8 which followed an OK second in the minor Busher Stakes February 25 and an impressive 13 length maiden score February 4. Full House has been a factor in every race so far in her career and hopes to be again Friday. She tries for her first ever stakes win from gate 4 with Rajiv Maragh aboard.

Corporate Queen - has three career starts for trainer Mark Casse with a win and a second place finish. She made her stakes debut last time out and finished fifth in the G2 Fair Grounds Oaks April 1 after a decent second in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream March 10 and a maiden score at first asking at Laurel Park in January. Corporate Queen has been OK and will chase a career-defining win Friday from gate 6. Patrick Husbands gets the call.

Tapa Tapa Tapa - has placed in four of seven career starts for trainer Timothy Hamm - three wins and a second place finish. Last time out was an OK fourth in the G3 Honeybee Stakes at Oaklawn Park March 11 which followed a nice win in the minor Suncoast Stakes at Tampa Bay February 11 and a seventh in the G3 Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland in October. Before that was a somewhat disappointing stakes debut - a sixth in the G1 Natalma Stakes September 18, an Allowance score August 27, a maiden score July 31 and a second in her debut July 16. Tapa Tapa Tapa has been decent in times in his career and hopes to hit the board in graded stakes company for the first time Friday. Jesus Lopez Castanon will ride from gate 2.

Yorkiepoo Princess - has four wins in her eight career starts for trainer Edward Barker. Last time out was a bit of an ugly eighth in the G2 Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct April 8. Before that was a nice tree race win streak - the minor Busher Stakes February 25, the minor Ruthless Stakes January 14 and minor Furlough Stakes November 24. She was just OK before that as well. Yorkiepoo Princess had been impressive before last time out and will be after a strong bounce back from the outside post 11 Friday. Horacio Karamanos rides.

Shimmering Aspen - streaking Rodney Hamilton trained filly has been impressive in her four race career - three wins and a third place finish - all at Laurel Park. She makes her stakes debut Friday on a nice three race win streak - two Allowance Optional Claiming in April and a maiden score September 9. The third came in her debut April 5. Shimmering Aspen hasn't been touched in nearly eight months and tries to keep an impressive run going from the rail Friday. Steve Hamilton will be in the saddle in her major step up in competition.

Torrent - Ron Moquett trained filly has two wins, two seconds and two third place finishes in her eight career starts. Last time out was an OK fourth in her graded stakes debut - the G3 Fantasy Stakes at Oaklawn Park April 14 after a third in the minor Martha Washington Stakes on that track February 11, an Allowance Optional Claiming score there January 20 and a second in the minor Trapeze Stakes at Remington Park in December. Torrent has been competitive so far in her career and hopes for a first stakes score Friday from gate 8. Jose Ortiz gets the call.

Actress - has two career starts for trainer Jason Servis and has posted two runner-up finishes - she has yet to break maiden. Last time out her second came in the minor Game Face Stakes after her other second came in her debut March 19 - both results at Gulfstream Park. Actress races in graded stakes company for the first time hoping for her first ever win - from gate 10 with Nik Juarez in the reins.
