Conquest Enforcer - has eight career starts for trainer Mark Casse with five nice wins and two third place finishes - competitive every time out. He debuted with a fourth in the G2 Summer Stakes in September, 2015 and then reeled off three straight minor stakes scores that year- the Charlie Barley Stakes July 3, by 7 3/4 lengths in the Queenston Stakes May 21 and by 6 3/4 lengths in the Cup and Saucer Stakes in October - the latest two in gate-to-wire fashion. Conquest Enforcer has been very good and will chase his second straight graded stakes score Saturday. Flavien Prat will be in the irons from post 4.
Ring Weekend - returned from a 14 month layoff May 21 for trainer Graham Motion and finished a very respectable second in the G2 Dixie Stakes at Pimlico and followed that with an uncharacteristic sixth in the G1 Fourstardave Handicap August 20 and a good win in the G2 Bernard Baruch Handicap at Saratoga September 5. He enters this week off a fifth as favorite in the G3 San Gabriel Stakes here January 7 which followed a good win in the G2 Seabiscuit Handicap at Del Mar November 26 and consecutive uncharacteristic seventh place finishes - the BC Mile November 5 and the G1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland October 8. Before the layoff he won the 2015 G1 Frank E. Kilroe Mile at Santa Anita and had wins in the G3 Saranac Stakes in September, 2014 and the G3 Hill Prince Stakes a month later. Ring Weekend now has seven wins, four seconds and two third place finishes in 21 career starts but has failed to place in three of his last four starts overall.
