John Sadler Eclipse Award winner as 2015 Champion 3-Year-Old Filly arrives off a nice win April 14 in the G1 Apple Blossom Handicap at Oaklawn Park which followed an OK fourth in the Breeders' Cup Distaff. Before that was a good two race win streak - both over the terrific Beholder including the G1 Zenyatta Stakes here October 1 and the G1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar July 30. Before that was a second behind Beholder after a seven-month layoff in the G1 Vanity Mile June 4, a good second in the 2015 Breeders' Cup Distaff and a tidy two race win streak- the G3 Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar in August 30, 2015 and the G2 Summertime Oaks at Santa Anita June 20 of that year. Other results include a terrific win in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 4, 2015 and an upset 2 3/4 length victory in the G3 Santa Ysabel Stakes at 7-1 odds February 28, 2015. She now has eight wins, two seconds and a third-place finish in 13 career starts and has won three of her last four overall - as competitive as they come when healthy. Victor Espinoza will be in the saddle from gate 2.
Bob Baffert trained Argentinean bred mare has nine wins, three seconds and a third-place finish in 14 starts all around the world including a win in a Group 1 race at home in May, 2015, a second in the UAE Oaks and an OK fourth, 1 1/2 lengths back in the Group 2 UAE Derby at Meydan in March of 2016. She has nine North American starts (seven wins) and enters on an impressive six race win streak - all as favorite - the G3 Adoration Stakes here last time out May 7, the G1 Santa Margarita Stakes on this track March 18, the G2 Santa Maria Stakes by 1 3/4 lengths on this track February 11, the G2 La Canada Stakes in gate-to-wire fashion by 2 1/2 lengths here January 14, by three lengths as 1-2 favorite in the G2 Bayakoa Handicap at Del Mar December 3 and by an impressive 10 1/4 length win in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Santa Anita October 28. Vale Dori recorded a respectable third behind champions Stellar Wind and Beholder in the G1 Zenyatta Stakes on this track October 1, had a 3 1/2 length win in the minor Tranquility Lake Stakes at Del Mar August 31 and a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming on that track August 3 as well. She has been a serious factor in every race so far in her career and tries for a seventh straight win (sixth straight graded stakes) Saturday. Rafael Bejarano has been tabbed to ride from the rail.

Eclipse Award winner as 2016 Champion Female Sprinter has placed in 13 of 17 career starts for trainer Ian Kruljac - five wins, six seconds and two third place finishes. She enters on the heels of consecutive runner-up finishes - the G1 Humana Distaff last time out at Churchill Downs May 6 and behind Vale Dori in the G1 Santa Margarita Stakes on this track March 18. Before that were wins in gate-to-wire fashion in the G2 Santa Monica Stakes by an easy 3 3/4 lengths on this track February 21 after she recorded a career-best effort on the biggest stage - a win in upset fashion by three lengths in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint on this track. The two wins followed an OK second in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar September 4, a close fourth in the G2 Yellow Ribbon Stakes on that track July 16 and a respectable third behind Beholder in the G1 Vanity Mile at Santa Anita last June 4. She also had a track record-setting win in the G2 Great Lady M Stakes on Los Alamitos dirt in April, 2016. Finest City has been very good lately posting two wins and three runner-up finishes in her last five starts overall but is winless in her four starts around two turns. She looks to snap a two-race losing streak Saturday with Mike Smith in the reins from gate 4.
Lightly raced Bob Baffert trained filly has placed in six of seven career starts - two wins and four runner-up finishes. She makes her stakes debut Saturday off a runner-up finish in an Allowance Optional Claiming here April 14 which followed 10 months away, an Allowance score at Churchill Downs last June, a second in another Allowance last May and a maiden score on this track in March, 2016. Faithfully has been a factor in every race since her debut and steps up in very good form. Flavien Prat gets the call from the outside post 5.
Art Sherman trained filly has three wins, four seconds and three third place finishes in 22 career starts. She made her graded stakes debut December 3 and finished fourth in the G2 Bayakoa Handicap at Del Mar and followed that with a decent second behind Vale Dori in the G2 La Canada Stakes here January 14 and another decent second behind Vale Dori in the G2 Santa Maria Stakes on this track February 11. Last time out was her worst effort in quite some time - a last of eight - almost 30 lengths back in the G1 Santa Margarita Stakes on this track March 18. She posted an OK third in the minor Southern Truce Stakes at Santa Anita last July 3, an Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track in last May and a second and a fourth respectively in another two Allowance Optional Claiming races to start last year as well. Show Stealer has placed in five of her last seven starts ahead of this weekend and will be out to avenge an ugly effort last time out. Gary Stevens will be in the saddle from post 3 Saturday.
