Irish bred filly has 18 career starts with seven wins, two seconds and two third place finishes for trainer Richard Baltas. She enters off consecutive runner-up finishes - the G2 John C Mabee Stakes last time out at Del Mar September 2 and the G1 Gamely Stakes on this track May 27. Before that was an OK fast-closing fifth in the G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland April 15 and a three-race win streak - the G2 Santa Ana Stakes March 12, the minor Astra II Stakes February 2 and the Robert J. Frankel Stakes December 31 - all at Santa Anita. In 2016, she also had an OK third in the G3 Maple Leaf Stakes at Woodbine November 5, a disappointing seventh in the G2 Canadian Stakes on that track in September and another two-race win streak - the minor Flaming Page Stakes at Woodbine August 13 and an Allowance there July 22. Goodyearforroses has placed in six of her last seven starts overall but hopes to snap a three-race losing streak Saturday. Corey Nakatani will be in the reins from the outside gate 10.
Richard Mandella trained mare has 15 career starts with six wins and three third place finishes. She arrives off her worst effort in a while - a sixth as favorite in the G2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap at Del Mar August 5 after a third behind the superb Lady Eli and Goodyearforroses in the G1 Gamely Stakes at Santa Anita May 27, another quality third behind Lady Eli back on November 5 in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf, a win in gate-to-wire fashion in the G1 Rodeo Drive Stakes at Santa Anita October 1, another win in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar September 4 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Del Mar last July. She failed to place in her prior three starts. Avenge had been in very good form before a bit of a dud last time out and will be out to "Avenge" that result Saturday. Flavien Prat gets the call from post 5.

Keith Desormeaux trained filly has three wins, two seconds and three third place finishes in 17 career starts. She enters off a fifth in the G2 John C Mabee Stakes at Del Mar September 2 which followed nine months away and a very good win in the G1 American Oaks on this track December 31. Before that was an ugly twelfth in the 2016 Rodeo Drive Stakes here October 1, an OK second in the G1 Del Mar Oaks August 20, a disappointing ninth in the G1 Belmont Oaks Invitational last July 9 and consecutive fourths - in the G2 Honeymoon Stakes at Santa Anita June 19 and in the G3 Senorita Stakes on that track May 7. She also had a 2 3/4 length win after racing in last in the G3 Providencia Stakes at Santa Anita April 9, 2016. Decked Out has been a tad tough to figure out, has placed in just two of her last seven starts and will try to bounce back off an underwhelming effort. She races for just the second time in 9 1/2 months looking for her second G1 score in her last three. Kent Desormeaux has the mount from gate 8.
Sixth place finisher in this race last year - Richard Mandella trained mare made her stakes debut last August 15, 2015 and finished fifth in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks and had a fourth in the G3 Autumn Miss Stakes that years. She went on to a pair of wins including the minor Solana Beach Stakes at Del Mar last August. Majestic Heat ended her 2016 campaign with a sixth in last year's Rodeo Drive and a fourth in the G2 Goldikova Stakes here in November before being sent to the sidelines for nine months. She has one start in 2017 and it was a good one - a win in the minor Solana Beach Stakes at Del Mar August 11. Majestic Heat has been a tad inconsistent in her career but hopes to build on a nice win last time out in her bid for a first graded stakes score. Drayden Van Dyke has been tabbed to ride from gate 4.
Irish bred Neil Drysdale trained mare has placed in eight of 10 career starts. She arrives off a nice win in the CTT and TOC Handicap at Del Mar August 16 and consecutive seconds - the listed Possibly Perfect Stakes June 4 and the G3 Santa Barbara Stakes August 30 - both at Santa Anita. Before that was a seventh in her North American debut - the G2 Santa Ana Stakes in March, a third in the Premio Archidamia in Rome October 2, a tenth in the Group 2 Premio Oaks D'Italia in May and a three-race win streak including two stakes scores overseas to start her 2016 campaign. Responsibleforlove has been good in her career so far and will be after a career-defining win Saturday. Joe Talamo will be in the saddle from post 3.
French bred Bob Baffert trained mare has eight wins, a second and two third-place finishes in her 17 career starts. She won a couple of stakes at home before debuting in North America with a sixth in the 2014 G1 Belmont Oaks Invitational. In 2015, she won three won five graded stakes races including the G3 La Prevoyante Handicap, the G3 Long Island Handicap, the G3 Waya Stakes and the minor River Memories Stakes. She was out of racing for 14 months and returned to a sixth in the G3 Suwannee Stakes at Gulfstream in February and a fifth last time out in the minor CTT and TOC Handicap at Dem Mar August 16. Goldy Espony has shown form in the past but hasn't been all that great since returning from a lengthy layoff. She shoots for her first win in 22 months Saturday with Mike Smith in the saddle from gate 2.
Irish bred Simon Callaghan trained filly has two wins and four runner-up finishes in her eight career starts. She enters off an OK second in the G1 Del Mar Oaks August 19 which followed a career-worst result - a sixth in the G1 Belmont Oaks Invitational July 8 and three straight quality runner-up finishes - the G2 Honeymoon Stakes at Santa Anita June 17, in the G3 Senorita Stakes on that track May 6 and the minor China Doll Stakes in March also at Santa Anita. Before that was an Allowance Optional Claiming score January 29 and a maiden score overseas in August. Beau Recall has been in the mix the last year and shoots for a first stakes score in her sixth try. Rafael Bejarano is scheduled to ride from post 7.
British bred James Cassidy trained mare has five wins, a second and five third-place finishes in 20 career starts. She won the minor CTT and TOC Handicap at Del Mar last August and has been underwhelming in six starts since. Last time out was a thirteenth in the G2 John C Mabee Stakes at Del Mar September 2 which followed a fifth in the G2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap on that track August 5, a fifth in the listed Astra II Stakes at Santa Anita February 2 and a third in the listed Robert J. Frankel Stakes on this track December 31. Before that was a fifth in the G3 Red Carpet Stakes at Del Mar November 24 and a third in the G1 Rodeo Drove Stakes in October. Frenzified tries for a first graded stakes score Saturday and enters in less-than-spectacular form. Santiago Gonzalez has been tabbed to ride from the rail.
James Cassidy trained mare has just two wins in 16 career starts to go along with three seconds and seven third-place finishes. She started her career in France where she placed in her first five starts but failed to place in her last two. She has been OK in nine North American starts - one win, one second and five third-place finishes. She stepped into graded stakes company for the first time August 5 and finished an OK third in the G2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap at Del Mar and followed that with a ninth in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes on that track September 2. Before those results were a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at here June 11, a seventh in a similar race on that track May 7 and an OK third in the minor Kathryn Crosby Stakes on this track in November. Amboseli has been OK lately and hopes for a breakthrough performance Saturday with Victor Espinoza guiding her from gate 6.
Brazilian bred Paulo Lobo trained filly made her North American debut September 2 and finished sixth in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar. She had nine starts at home which resulted in three wins and a third-place finish. She won a pair of Group 1 races this past winter and also posted a third in another Group 1 race to end her 2016 campaign. She has just one start in 2017 resulting in a fifth in the Group 3 Apertura January 7. Kiss Me Now was impressive this past winter and hopes her success in Brazil translates in North America. Martin Garcia will be in the irons Saturday from post 9.
