OffTrackBetting.com - The G2 Summertime Oaks goes down this Saturday, June 17 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. A group of three-year-old fillies will saddle up and go 1 1/16 miles on Santa Anita's dirt track for the winner's share of the $200,000 purse.

2017 Summertime Oaks Entries at Santa Anita Park

Faypien

Has three career starts for trainer Bob Baffert with two wins and a third-place finish - all at Santa Anita. She arrives on a good two race win streak - the minor Angels Flight Stakes last time out May 14 and a 4 1/4 length maiden score April 23 after an OK third in her debut March 11. Faypien has been on a serious upward trajectory lately and hopes to keep the roll going in he graded stakes debut. Rafael Bejarano will be in the saddle in Faypien's first start around two turns from gate 6.

It Tiz Well

Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly has placed in all six career starts - three wins, two seconds and a third-place finish. She arrives off a decent third behind the terrific Abel Tasman in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 8 after a solid win in the G3 Honeybee Stakes at Oaklawn Park March 11, a 3 3/4 length Allowance Optional Claiming score here February 3 and a respectable second in her stakes debut - the G2 Santa Ysabel Stakes on this track January 8. She started her career with a third at October and a maiden score at Los Alamitos December 18. It Tiz Well has been a factor every time out and hopes for a second graded stakes score Saturday with Mike Smith guiding her from post 3.

Selcourt

Has three career starts for trainer John Sadler with a win, a second and a third-place finish - all on this track. She broke maiden at first asking by 9 1/4 lengths February 12 and followed that with an OK second in the minor Santa Paula Stakes April 9 and a decent third behind Faypien and Noted and Quoted last time out in the minor Angels Flight Stakes May 14. Selcourt has been competitive so far and chases her first stakes win Saturday in her graded stakes debut. Tyler Baze gets the call from post 5.

Noted and Quoted

Has two wins and a second-place finish in seven career starts for trainer Bob Baffert. She was OK early in her career and broke through with a terrific win at 7-1 odds on this track in the G1 Chandelier Stakes October 1 but fell back to earth with a seventh after setting the pace and tiring badly as favorite in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies November 5. She has been inconsistent in two starts in 2017 - a DNF in the minor Sunland Park Oaks March 26 was followed by a respectable second behind Faypien last time out in the minor Angels Flight Stakes on this track May 14. Noted and Quoted has been OK in her career so far and will be after a second graded stakes score from gate 8 Saturday. Martin Garcia is scheduled to ride the only G1 winner in the field.

Mopotism

Doug O'Neill trained filly has eight career starts with two wins, two runner-ups and one third place finish to show for it. She broke maiden by 4 1/4 lengths on this track December 30 after an OK third in the G1 Starlet Stakes at Los Alamitos December 10, a second in a MSW November 12 and a fifth in her debut August 28. She has been up and down in four starts since - a disappointing tenth last time out in the G1 Kentucky Oaks May 5 followed a fourth in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 8, a nice gate-to-wire win in the minor Island Fashion Stakes at Sunland Park February 26 and a decent second behind the very good Unique Bella in the G2 Las Virgenes Stakes on this track February 5. Mopotism was a factor in all of her first six career starts but has struggled most recently. She tries to get back to her winning ways with Mario Gutierrez guiding her from the outside post 9.

Majestic Quality

Keith Desormeaux trained filly had two seconds and three third place finishes in her first 9 career starts. Last time was her long-awaited first career win -a MSW by an eye-opening 6 3/4 lengths here May 21 which followed a fifth in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks April 8 and a respectable second at 23-1 in the G2 Rachel Alexandra Stakes at Fair Grounds February 25. Before that was a fifth, a third and a second respectively in a trio of MSW with the last two coming on this track. Majestic Quality searches for a first career stakes win Saturday and could be a confident entry after her first career victory last time out. Kent Desormeaux has the mount from post 7.

Spooky Woods

Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly has placed in six of eight career starts - one win, two seconds and three third place finishes. She made her stakes debut March and finished an OK third in the G3 Santa Ysabel Stakes on this track March 4 and has been just OK in two starts since. Last time out was a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming here May 4 after a seventh in the G3 Fantasy Stakes at Oaklawn Park April 14. She broke maiden on this track January 20 and also posted a second, a sixth and another second in a trio of MSW races before that, and a third in her debut in the minor Barretts Debutante Stakes at Los Alamitos in September. Spooky Woods has been so-so in her career and hopes for a career-defining win Saturday with Flavien Prat in the reins from gate 2.

Goseecal

Has 11 career starts for trainer Vladimir Cerin with just one win to go along with three seconds and three third place finishes. She finally broke maiden last time out - on this track April 29 after a second and a third respectively in a pair of similar races in March and April. Before that was a fifth, a third and a second in a trio of MSW races to start 2017. Goseecal has improved every time out lately and hopes to keep that trend going in her stakes debut Saturday. Martin Pedroza will be in the irons from the rail.

Sheza Chattykat

Richard Baltas trained filly has a win, a second and a third-place finish in her five career starts so far - all on this track. She makes her stakes debut Saturday off an OK second in an Allowance Optional Claiming May 7 after a Maiden Claiming score March 31 and a fourth, a third and another forth respectively in a trio of MSW races to start her career. Sheza Chattykat has been OK so far in her career and hopes for a career-defining effort in her major step up in competition. Corey Nakatani has been tabbed to ride from gate 4.
