Impressive Chad Brown trained colt has three career starts and three nice wins. Last time out his win came in his stakes debut - the minor $100,000 Manila Stakes at Belmont Park July 4 after wins in an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track June 9 and a maiden score at first asking at Gulfstream Park in February. Bricks and Mortar hasn't been touched so far and hopes to keep that trend alive in his graded stakes debut. Joel Rosario has been tabbed to ride the morning line favorite from the rail.
Has placed in six of seven career starts for trainer Anthony Dutrow - three wins, two seconds and a third-place finish. Last time out was a second behind Bricks and Mortar in the minor Manila Stakes at Belmont Park July 4 which followed three straight wins - the minor Paradise Creek Stakes at Belmont May 27, an Allowance on that track April 30 and a maiden score in March at Gulfstream Park. Big Handsome has been competitive every time out and is expected to be again Friday in his graded stakes debut with Javier Castellano aboard the second betting choice from gate 2.

Japanese bred Bill Mott trained colt has four career starts with two wins and a second-place finish. He made his graded stakes debut last time out and finished fifth as favorite in the G1 Belmont Derby Invitational July 8 after a good four length win after trailing by as much as 23 lengths in the minor James W. Murphy Stakes at Pimlico May 20, a gate-to-wire maiden score by four lengths at Keeneland April 19 and a second-place finish at first asking - at Aqueduct in November. Yoshida has been decent so far and has been training well but will need a strong bounce back in order to contend Friday. Irad Ortiz will be in the saddle of the intriguing third choice from gate 4.
Shug McGaughey trained colt has hit the board in six of seven career starts - two wins, two seconds and two third-place finishes - his only non-podium finish came in his debut. An Allowance Optional Claiming score last time out at Belmont Park July 3 followed consecutive seconds in Allowance races on that track and a respectable third in his only stakes action to date - the G3 Palm Beach Stake at Gulfstream Park March 4. Snap Decision has been trending upward ahead of this weekend and hopes for a first stakes score Friday from post 5. Jose Ortiz gets the call.

Before that were two straight wins - the minor Woodhaven Stakes at Aqueduct in April and a maiden score at Gulfstream in March - both in gate-to-wire fashion. Secretary At War has placed in four of his last five starts overall including one stakes win and shoots for a first graded stakes score from post 9. John Velazquez gets the call.
Brad Cox trained colt has two wins, a second and a third-place finish in eight career starts. He arrives off a disappointing eleventh in the G1 Belmont Derby Invitational July 8 after a career-best effort - a one length win over a good field in the G2 American Turf Stakes at Churchill Downs May 6 and a maiden score at Keeneland April 9. Before that was an eighth in the G2 Risen Star Stakes February 25 and a fourth in the G2 LeComte Stakes January 21 - both at Fair Grounds. Arklow had been in career-best form before last time out and is another after a strong bounce back Friday from the outside gate 10.
Eddie Kenneally trained colt has three wins, a second and a third-place finish in seven career starts. He arrives off an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs June 3 after a decent third in the G3 Arlington Classic May 27, a fifth in the G2 American Turf Stakes May 6 and an eighth in the G3 Spiral Stakes at Turfway Park March 25. Parlor has been OK against lesser company but has yet to post a stakes score. Julien Leparoux will be in the reins from gate 8.
Has two wins, a second and a third-place finish in his eight career starts for trainer Nick Zito. He finally broke maiden five starts back at Gulfstream Park February 26 after a sixth, a second and a seventh respectively in a trio of races to start his career. Last time out was a sixth in the G1 Belmont Derby Invitational July 8 which followed another disappointing sixth in the G3 Pennine Ridge Stakes on that track June 3, an Allowance score at Keeneland April 26 and a respectable graded stakes debut - a third in the G3 Transylvania Stakes on that track April 7. Makarios was OK this past spring but has posted consecutive sixths ahead of this weekend. He looks for a bounce-back performance Friday when he leaves from gate 6 with Luis Saez in the irons.
Has 11 career starts with two wins, three seconds and two third place finishes for trainer Todd Pletcher. He enters off an OK second in the minor Caveat Stakes at Laurel Park July 15 which followed an ugly eighth in the G2 Penn Mile June 3, a nice win in the minor Parx Derby May 6, a fifth in the G2 Wood Memorial at Aqueduct April 8, a fourth in the G3 Withers Stakes on that track February 4 and consecutive runner-up finishes - behind El Areeb in the G3 Jerome Stakes at Aqueduct in his graded stakes debut January 2 and the restricted Maryland Juvenile Futurity at Laurel Park December 10. Bonus Points has been a tad inconsistent in his career and chases his first graded stakes score in his fifth try from post 7. Kendrick Carmouche has the mount.
