She arrives off a 4 1/2 length Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track August 7 after 10 months away, a fourth in the G1 Frizette Stakes at Belmont Park in October and two straight wins - the G2 Adirondack Stakes by six lengths on this track in October and a maiden score by 7 1/4 lengths at Monmouth Park in July. Nonna Mela has been a factor every time out and hope to continue her roll in just her second start of 2017. Javier Castellano gets the call on the slight morning line favorite from gate 4.
Has four wins, two seconds and a third-place finish in 11 career starts for trainer Steve Asmussen. Last time out was a sub-par fifth in the G1 Test Stakes on this track August 5 which followed a decent second in the G3 Victory Ride Stakes at Belmont Park July 9, an unfortunate DNF after being declared a non-starter in the minor Jersey Girl Stakes on that track June 11 and two good wins - the G3 Miss Preakness Stakes by 3 3/4 lengths at Pimlico May 19 and by 7 3/4 lengths the minor Goldfinch Stakes at Prairie Meadows April 29. Before that was a third in the minor Purple Martin Stakes at Oaklawn Park in March, a fourth in the minor Dixie Belles Stakes January 21 and an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs in November. She steps into stakes company for the first time off an Allowance score here July 24, a third in a similar race at Belmont Park June 18 and an uncharacteristic twelfth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Churchill Downs in November. Dawn the Destroyer, outside of one bad outing has been a factor every time out and hopes to make a statement in her step up - from gate 6 with Joel Rosario guiding her.

She steps into stakes company for the first time Sunday off an impressive gate-to-wire 11 length Allowance score with a field-best 104 BRIS Speed Rating at Ellis Park July 14, a ninth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Churchill Downs June 24 and a maiden score at first asking at Churchill Downs June 3. Student Body is in decent form ahead of his major step up in competition and will leave from the rail with James Graham aboard.
Has three career starts for trainer Linda Rice with three wins - the last two in impressive gate-to-wire fashion. She makes her stakes debut Sunday off an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Belmont Park July 13 after wins in an Allowance on that track May 27 and a MSW at Laurel Park April 23. Downtown Mama attempt to remain undefeated in her step up - from gate 8 with Jose Ortiz in the irons.
David Cannizzo trained filly has four wins and a second-place finish in her five career starts. She makes her stakes debut Sunday on the heels of three straight Allowance scores - the last at Saratoga August 6, one at Belmont Park July 7 and the other at Belmont Park June 1. Royal Inheritance has been impressive so far and hopes to be again in her major step up in competition. Manuel Franco will be in the irons from post 7.
Has placed in 10 of 12 career starts for trainer Bernard Flint - four wins, two seconds and four third-place finishes. She makes her graded stakes debut Sunday off a 13 length Allowance Optional Claiming score in wire-to-wire fashion at Indiana Grand August 10 after a third in a Starter Allowance at Ellis Park July 29 and two straight Claiming scores at Churchill Downs in June. Sister Kan has hit the board in 10 straight races against lesser company ahead of this weekend and hopes to keep the roll going in her step up in competition. Robby Albarado has been tabbed to ride from gate 2.
Has 13 career starts with five wins and three second-place finishes. She won three straight races in the fall of 2016 including the minor My Trust Cat Stakes at Delta Downs in October but has been up-and-down since. Last time out was a fourth in the G3 Victory Ride Stakes at Belmont Park July 9 which followed a second in the minor Jersey Girl Stakes on that track June 11, a fourth in the G2 Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs May 5, a win in the minor Purple Martin Stakes at Oaklawn Park March 25, a second in the minor Take Charge Brandi Stakes March 3 and a win in the minor Letellier Memorial at Fair Grounds in December. Golden Mischief has three stakes wins but has yet to hit the board in three graded stakes tries. Jockey Ricardo Santana will try to change all of that from post 3.
Edward Barker trained filly has four wins in her 11 career starts - she was on the Kentucky Oaks trail for a while this year. She won three listed stakes races this past winter including the Furlough Stakes, the Ruthless Stakes and Busher Stakes - all at Aqueduct. She has failed to place in her last four starts however - a ninth last time out in the listed Coronation Cup on this track July 31 followed a fourth in the listed Jersey Girl Stakes at Belmont Park June 11, a tenth in the G2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico May 19 and an eighth in the G2 Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct April 8. Yorkiepoo Princess hasn't been all that impressive lately but hopes to return to her winter form when she leaves from the outside post 9 with Irad Ortiz in the irons.
