Robert Tiller trained mare has placed in 13 of 16 career starts - seven wins, four seconds and two third place finishes - all at Woodbine. She enters off a disappointing sixth in the minor Ballade Stakes May 14, a respectable second in the G2 Whimsical Stakes April 23 and a nice win in the G2 Bessarabian Stakes November 19. Before that was an OK third in the G3 Ontario Fashion Stakes October 16, a second in the minor Kenora Stakes August 31, a fifth in the G3 Royal North Stakes July 31 and four straight wins including the 2016 Ballade Stakes June 4. River Maid had been competitive every time out before last time out and hopes to bounce back for her first graded stakes score - from post 7. Gary Boulanger has been tabbed to ride at 9-2 on the morning line.

She made her graded stakes debut last April and finished an OK fourth in the G2 Great Lady M Stakes at Los Alamitos. She made her graded stakes debut in September and finished tenth in the G2 Presque Isle Downs Masters and has been just OK since - a sixth last timeout in the G3 Lambholm South Endeavour Stakes at Tampa Bay February 11 followed a second in the minor Ruling Angel Stakes on this track October 16. Other results include a second in an Allowance at Presque Isle Downs August 30, a seventh in the minor Duchess Stakes at Woodbine August 7 and consecutive Allowance scores at Presque Isle Downs last June. She has been decent so far but hasn't tasted victory in nearly a year. She will leave from post 9 Sunday hoping to change all of that with Huber Vila-Gomez guiding her.

She arrives off an OK second in the minor Ballade Stakes May 14, a sixth in her only graded stakes action - the G3 Whimsical Stakes April 23, an eighth in the minor Ruling Angel Stakes in October, a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming September 17 and a twelfth in the minor La Prevoyante Stakes in August.
