Vyjack - won his first four career starts including a pair of graded stakes scores at Del Mar - the G2 Jerome Stakes and the G3 Gotham Stakes to start 2014 but has been up and down since. He also won the G2 Kelso Handicap September 27, 2014. He had seven starts last year with just a second and a third place finish to show for it - a third in the minor Forbidden Apple Stakes July 11 at Belmont Park followed an OK second in the G3 Poker Stakes in June. He has just five starts in 2016 and has been OK - a seventh last time out in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile followed a nice win in the G2 City of Hope Mile October 8, a second in the G2 Pat O'Brien Stakes at Del Mar August 27, a second in the G2 Red Bank Stakes at Monmouth Park in June and an Allowance score at Keeneland April 21. What A View - Kenneth Black trained gelding has six wins and two second place finishes in 14 career starts. He arrives off a career-worst effort - a last of fourteen after tiring in the Breeders' Cup Mile which followed an unfortunate eighth in the G1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland October 8. Before that was a terrific four race win streak - the G3 Thunder Road Stakes at Santa Anita April 9, the G1 Frank E. Kilroe Mile on that track in March, the minor California Cup Turf Classic January 30 and an Allowance Optional Claiming December 26. He also had a fifth, a second and a win respectively in Allowance races on California tracks. What a View was terrific before his layoff and his last two starts and will be out for a strong bounce back Saturday with Tyler Baze in the saddle from post 5.
Ring Weekend - returned from a 14 month layoff May 21 for trainer Graham Motion and finished a very respectable second in the G2 Dixie Stakes at Pimlico and followed that with an uncharacteristic sixth in the G1 Fourstardave Handicap August 20 and a good win in the G2 Bernard Baruch Handicap at Saratoga September 5. He enters this week off consecutive seventh place finishes - the BC Mile last time out and the G1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland October 8. Before the layoff he won the 2015 G1 Frank E. Kilroe Mile at Santa Anita and had wins in the G3 Saranac Stakes in September, 2014 and the G3 Hill Prince Stakes a month later. Ring Weekend now has six wins, four seconds and two third place finishes in 19 career starts and has four wins and two seconds in his last 10 starts overall. Hunt chases his first graded stakes score Saturday having failed to place in two of his last three starts. Mike Smith will be in the irons hoping to change Hunt's fortunes around from gate 6.
Stylistics United - lightly raced Kenneth Nettles trained colt has just one win in five career starts. He makes his stakes debut off a tenth in an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track November 13 after a maiden score at Santa Anita October 21 and an eleventh in a MSW October 2.
