Las Vegas, NV - Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida played host to the $200,000 Grade 2 Swale Stakes on Saturday, March 1. 9-1 long shot Spot earned his first stakes win for new owner Joseph Moss - by 2 1/2 lengths over previously unbeaten and 2-5 favorite No Nay Never. Brothersofthetime finished third in the field of six while Prudhoe Bay finished fourth. Can't Stop the Kid was fourth and Breitling Flyer trailed. Morning Line favorite Havana was scratched from the race in the morning due to a foot problem.
