Wise Dan Wins Maker's 46 Mile at Keeneland Race Course
Las Vegas, NV - Wise Dan kicked off his 2014 campaign Friday at Keeneland in the $300,000 Maker's 46 Mile and predictably, he emerged unscathed in the one mile turf test. Sent off at 2-5 odds Wise Dan did just enough to win for the 11th time in his last 12 starts - this time by three quarters of a length. The longest shot in the field Kaigun finished a very good second at 37-1 odds while Grade 1 winner Lochte finished third. Second choice Za Approval was fourth followed by Gentleman's Kitten and Alakazan Alakazan. Reload was an early scratch.
