Erupt Wins Pattison Canadian International Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack
The biggest race of the weekend - the $1 million G1 Pattison Canadian International Stakes went down Sunday, October 16 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. An international group of horses three years old and upward took to Woodbine's turf track and raced 1 1/2 miles. It was Irish bred, Flaxman Holdings' colt Erupt that provided the last of the upsets on the day - by a comfortable length at 12-1 odds. British Invader and representative of Queen Elizabeth Dartmouth finished a decent second as the 3-1 second choice in the field nine while fast closing Wake Forest was another half length back in third at 9-1 odds. The Pizza Man came in fourth, followed by heavy 7-5 favorite Idaho, Danish Dynaformer, Taghleeb, World Approval, and Protectionist to complete the order of finish.
