Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California will be the scene of the Grade 3 Santa Ysabel Stakes on Saturday, February 28. Three year old fillies will take to Santa Anita's dirt track and race 1 1/16 miles searching for the winner's share of the $100,000 purse and the 50 qualifying points for the Kentucky Oaks in May.

Rainha Da Bateria - Graham Motion trained filly won the Grade 3 Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland October 8 and went on to a disappointing ninth in the Breeders' Cup Fillies Turf. She has looked better in two starts since - last time out was a third in the minor Blue Norther Stakes here January 1 after a second in the Grade 3 Jimmy Durante Stakes at Del Mar in November. Rainha Da Bateria has two wins, a second and a third place finish in six career starts and has placed in three of her four graded stakes tries - she is the only graded stakes winner in the field and the most experienced in the field. Light the City - will hit the track for the sixth time for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer off a good second by a half length in the Grade 1 Las Virgenes Stakes here January 31 and a disappointing fifth in her graded stakes debut - as favorite in the Grade 2 Santa Ynez Stakes here January 3. Before that was an OK third behind Maybellene and Achiever's Legacy in the listed Desi Arnaz Stakes at Del Mar in November and a nice win in her second career start - the minor Anoakia Stakes here in October. Light the City looks to break through in graded stakes company for the first time with Kent Desormeaux guiding her from gate 6.
Achiever's Legacy - Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly is coming off a decent third behind Light the City in the Grade 1 Las Virgenes Stakes here January 31 which followed a somewhat disappointing fifth in her graded stakes debut - the Grade 1 Starlet at Los Alamitos December 13, a career best result - a win over Maybellene and Light the City at 9-1 odds in the listed Desi Arnaz Stakes at Del Mar November 16, a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming and a sixth in the minor Surfer Girl Stakes at Santa Anita in October. She has two wins and two third place finishes in seven career starts and will have the legendary Gary Stevens guiding her as she looks for her first ever graded stakes score from gate 4.
Enchanting Lady - Bob Baffert trained filly has looked good in her two race career. Last time out was a successful step up into stakes company - a 6 1/4 length win in the 5 1/2 furlong Landulace Stakes here way back in June after a second in a MSW here in May. Enchanting Lady hits the track for the first time in eight months but has put in two bullet works ahead of this race. She leaves from post 3 with Martin Garcia guiding her.

Rattataptap - Jeff Bonde trained filly has three career starts with two wins but her only stakes action was her career worst effort - an eighth in the Grade 2 Santa Ynez Stakes here January 3. She is coming off an impressive 4 3/4 length Allowance Optional Claiming score but looks to make some noise in stakes company for the first time. Rafael Bejarano rides in Rattataptap's first try around two turns from post 7.
Danette - Keith Desormeaux trainee has eight career starts with two seconds and two third place finishes and is coming off a second in a MSW here January 2, a sixth in the Grade 1 Starlet Stakes December 13 and an OK fifth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Before that was a third in the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes September 27, a second in a MSW, a third, a fifth and a seventh respectively in MSW races in her first three starts. Danette looks for his first ever win Saturday from the rail with Fernando Hernandez Perez in the reins.
Glory - Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly will race in graded stakes company for the first time Saturday after three career starts produced a win and two second place finishes. She enters off a decent second after leading most of the way in the minor California Oaks at Golden Gate February 7 and a two length maiden score in her second career start - on this track January 10. Drayden Van Dyke has been chosen to keep the upward trend going - from the outside post.
Curlin's Fox - Carla Gaines trained filly races for just the second time Saturday. Her first career start was a good one - an 8 3/4 length maiden score on this track February 1. She steps into stakes company for the first time with the legend Mike Smith in the saddle from post 2.
Stellar Wind - John Sadler pupil broke maiden last time out in her second career start after a second in her debut -both results at Laurel Park. She takes an enormous step up in competition Saturday from gate 8 with Victor Espinoza guiding her.
