The Fourstardave Handicap is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. The Grade II race is open to horses, age three and up, willing to race one and one-sixteenth miles on the turf. It offers a purse of $150,000.
The Fourstardave is named for the horse once called "The Sultan of Saratoga" because he'd won at least one race at the Saratoga track each year from 1987 to 1994. He died of a heart attack in October 2002 at the age of 17 and is buried in Claire Court at Saratoga Race Course. This is a rare honor since only three horses are buried there. Before 1996, the Fourstardave was run as the Daryl's Joy Handicap. In 1990 and 1991, Fourstardave won it when it was still the Daryl's Joy.
