Preakness winner Shackleford takes on Belmont Stakes winner Ruler On Ice. The winner of Sunday's race that can be seen live on ABC gets an automatic spot in November's Breeders' Cup Classic.
July 28, 2011 -- Fifty-seven horses have been nominated for this year's 42nd running of the Grade 2, $750,000 West Virginia Derby. The 1 1/8-mile event for three-year-olds will anchor a nine-race card comprised entirely of stakes on Saturday afternoon, August 6, at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort.
July 26, 2011 -- It is somewhat rare when you get a stakes race in the middle of the week but that will be the case on Wednesday at Saratoga Race Course with the Grade 2 $150,000 Lake George Stakes .
