The Ancient Title Breeders' Cup Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually in early October as part of the Oak Tree Racing Association meeting at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Open to horses three years old and up, it is run at the sprint distance of 6 furlongs (approximately 1,200 metres) and can be a prep race for the Breeders' Cup Sprint.
Part of the Breeders' Cup Challenge series, the winner of the Ancient Title Stakes automatically qualifies for the Breeders' Cup Sprint. The race is named in honor of the California-bred horse Ancient Title, a two-time California Horse of the Year and a National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame inductee.
