The Santa Ynez Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually in mid January at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. A Grade II event, the race is open to fillies, age three, willing to race seven furlongs on the Pro-Ride synthetic dirt. In 2011, Santa Anita returned to dirt racing.
Inaugurated in 1952, the Santa Ynez Stakes has been contested at various distances. In 1952, the race was held in January and again in December rather than January 1953. It was run in two divisions in 1984.
